The new owner and lady server are very very rude to their customers , they will charge you for a packet of ketchup , hot sauce ( that’s all we asked for so just curious what else they nickle and dime their customers for !!) ... they give you a plate and saying they are trying to save the earth , it’s unhealthy ( wishing someday the dept of health will visit them ) to use the same plate if you’re going for seconds ( salad bar ) . We have been going to this place for years ( two ownerships prior to this current one !) and sure miss dining there due to this unfriendly new owners .

Had an absolutely ridiculous experience here. Kicked out of the restaurant because apparently we didn’t claim that we wanted to dine-in explicitly? Isn’t dine-in the default option at restaurants? Honestly I’m still quite confused. After we clarified that we do want to dine-in and that we never said anything about take outs, the woman argued “but I ringed you up as take-out” as if it was our fault? Eventually she said “fine you can stay”. So I thought whatever it was all sorted out. But when I got up to use the salad bar, the owner stopped me. When I asked for a reason, “restaurant rule” was the answer. As I stood there being confused, he proceeded to raise his voice and asked me to leave. When my husband and I tried to sort it out, and explained again that we never wanted a to-go order. All we got was “You should’ve told us you wanted dine-in at the beginning.” “I don’t want to argue.” “Get out!” Even though the whole situation started because they mistakenly assumed that we wanted take-out.It seemed that they were also unhappy that we sat a bigger table though there were plenty of empty tables, no communication on which table we should be at and that we were willing to move to another table before they gave the “nvm just leave”.Just ridiculous that they’d expect customers to know all their strange implicit assumptions and kick people out because of the lack of communication.

This is my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in the Bay Area. The chicken is absolutely delicious and is super crunchy.I love the salad bar too. Not too many options but I love everything that they have. You can go up as many times as you like and get more salad and rice. The service is great too cause the folks working there are super nice. Please be patient with the staff though cause usually it's just one person that is directly helping customers. The one issue I had was the parking, but obviously that's not the restaurant's fault. We tried going on a Friday night but the parking lot was so packed. Plus the aisles were very narrow so we were stuck waiting to get out when two oncoming cars couldn't get past one another. We ended up leaving and coming back for lunch the next day and the parking was much better. Basically, I recommend going when it's not too busy.

Fried chicken is good, nothing spectacular. Small dining area, minimal staff. They have a sign up sheet on the front door. They call u in when you fit inside. Dine in customers wait forevvvverrrr to eat. Restrictions on rice and salad it actually says you can not take it home, so only serve yourself what you can eat there. A fee for take out container and bag. Kinda odd. Oh yeah, chicken pieces are big.

Got my chicken to go. The chicken was so fresh and hot it damaged my leather seats through the bag. I got home 15 minutes later and still burned my tongue on the hot, juicy plain chicken. I've been dreaming of returning when I get a contract in the area.

Been here with the restaurant since 2014. Had massive support during COVID-19, and they changed ownership. The new owners are super rude and don't know how to do customer service at all. I ordered over phone by mistaken 3 orders if soy sauce for sauce chicken. Gentle asked them please swap 1 order sauce for soy sauce. Because my wife is allergic to ketchup(tomato) and I still pay for the difference . And it turned out they cursed, yell and point fingers at my face said that my problem not theirs and told me to pay. What the fuck in hell is this kind of customer service? Who would pay for the food that they cannot eat? It's my first and last experience with this restaurant under new ownership. They just treated their customers shitty as hell. Worst restaurant and customer service eveer. Please stay away from this restaurant under new ownership. Save your time!!!!!!

Exceptionally cheap, rude and just difficult to work with. It’s also far more expensive since the new owners took over.

One of my favorite Korean fried chicken joints. I will drive from 45 minutes away. During Covid, I used to get it to go, and sit at a nearby park and enjoy some juicy delicious chicken. The Soy chicken is top tier. I've tried other flavors, but I always come back.

Got the #5 combo which had regular, sauce, spicy, and honey garlic. I enjoyed honey garlic the best. The sauce and spicy had way too much sauce on them. I had to scrape off a tick layer of sauce. The chicken was pretty dry in some parts. They offered a free unlimited salad and rice bar, but only to the customers who order a 5 piece of chicken minimum. 2 people from our party ordered the chicken sandwich and they were not allowed to participate

This is a great little "hole in the wall" spot. Walls are covered with pictures of guests, several hundred pictures...The place isn't big, but being that it's stood the test of time , it's got something done right. Dining in, you can get all the salad you want, and a big rice cooker to accompany the main attraction- fried chicken. The goto has to be the soy sauce chicken. When I eat here with the family, we usually order 2, sometimes 3 orders. Nothing beats fried chicken and white rice. The soy sauce chicken is really good fried chicken, covered in a soy glaze, almost like a thin coat of honey. It's sweet, yet savory. A definite must try. I've tried the Korean sauce chicken as well, but it's got a sweet tomato, ketchupy sauce. I'm more a savory guy, but others may like it.

This place is always such a great place for wings! They have amazing chicken with really good flavor. I often find myself here after a sporty day and I'm super hungry! Love that the rice and the veggies are self serve. The chicken is always super big in size and 2-3 wings fills me up. The service is quick and the inside feels home-y. Always will come back to 99 chicken.
