Everything was good.
The food was amazing! The server was very friendly. One of our friends took some time to arrive and by that time the Appam that we ordered had gotten a bit cold. The server was kind enough to replace it with a new one…
Very poor service and food is not served hot.
One of the best Indian food in the Bay Area!
Food ordered: Rice, kerala Parotta, chicken ghee roast, fish chettinad, buttermilk
Parotta was good, but everything else was highly disappointing. Rice was partly cold, partly hot and very lumpy, Fish was just tomato based gravy, chicken was overcooked with heavy raw red chilli powder taste.
Hopefully this mess up was due to their soft opening, otherwise it would be a pretty hard sell given the quality options for South Indian restaurant in the Bay area.
Worst dining experience I’ve had in a while.
I don’t mind paying a bit more for good food, but this place was seriously disappointing. Prices were way too high for what we got — tiny portions, poorly presented, and to make it worse, some of the food was undercooked.
It felt like a total waste of money and honestly left us still hungry. Definitely not going back, and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Food is Good. We ordered thali but had to wait a lot. Thali was delivered in bits and pieces. We had to ask them when rice will be served and rasam was given after we are done with lunch. Dessert we had to ask mentioning it wasn’t served. Overall food was good. Dining experience is not good
We had the manjal thali ..restaurant manjal had a soft opening ..mutton soup was hot and just like home made . Lot of items in thali ..biryani had more ghee(please reduce a bit).Kola urundai was just ok . But rest of the items chicken 65, pepper fry, ghee rice was top notch . 5 star is for service ,ambience ,food quality . Highly recommended
Tasty food but suffered food poisoning for days. Suffering a lot, regret eating here.

We as a family came here for lunch on a weekend afternoon. Not everything that's written on the menu is available so you want to make sure of that. We ordered appam and chicken curry as fish curry will take time as per the server. We ordered masala dosa and the potato sabji came in as a side dish. I ordered from their menu for falooda and the answer was that we don't have it. I am not sure why they put it on the menu if they can't serve it on a weekend! We ordered the goat biriyani, Rose milk, Kerala parotta with chicken curry and a fish fry as an appetizer. Overall, not a great experience as we had to go with what's available there than what they mentioned on the menu. The service was okay as we had to call the server each time , at one point they forgot to get the chocolate milk shake which we had to remind them. I am not sure if I will go back here, when you have better options around.

BAD FOOD TODAY!
We tried veg meals and non-veg meals today. I ate at 1 pm today. the current time is 9 pm, and still the food won't digest. I've been burping many times now, and still the food won't digest. Don't go with tasty food, think about quality of the food. I won't try this restaurant again.??

Good place to catch up some South Indian food. The service is amicable but the food is delayed to a point where you will start feeling frustrated.
The food taste is good but not the best South Indian I tasted. The price is also a bit expensive for the food quantity. I ordered appam and mutton along with weekend spl crab masala. The mutton was good and the appam was also fresh. The crab masala was good but I have tasted better crab masala in other locations. The ambience is pretty average, could have been better. Overall it’s an avg experience and I expect it to be a bit better compared to other locations.

We are from the Midwest and being a South Indian Tamil , I felt like I was a kid in Disneyland seeing all the South Indian options in California that we never get to see. We got the special aapam with minced chicken…the dish have 2 aapams so easily shareable if you want to try. The tawa fish weekend special was a hit for us including the kids. Kids loved cone dosa and idly sambar. We all thought the sambar was specially good here. My 3yo liked all the 3 chutneys that came with the tiffin items. We also got the parotta with mutton but that wasn’t has good as the rest. Service was friendly and accommodating with the kids. It was one of the Indian restaurants that didn’t close midday which brought us in.

Went for lunch to have their weekend special naatu kozhi kuzhambu. The curry tasted good but there was hardly any meat. Large pieces of bones with hardly any meat was served. Very disappointed. I don't plan to go back ever.

The restaurant opened at 8:30am and I went in shortly after they opened. The host told me that it would take 10-15min before the breakfast buffet was ready. He then disappeared into the kitchen and I waited until 9:15am. When I asked the host again, he said that it would a few more minutes. When I told him that I had waited for more than 40min, he said that it is because customers don’t start trickling in until 9am. So, was not a customer?. He made me wait for 40min for no apparent reason. I was late for my appointment. Ridiculous! The music was so loud and I had to hear all of that for almost 50min and I was getting a headache. Please turn down the music. No one can hear anything.
