Great late night dive bar, enjoy coming here to have a drink with a few friends without a completely crowded bar that you feel like you can't breathe in. Although small, it's a great home-y feel that you just enjoy being apart of, after my first time I've just gone back again and again. Service and staff are always nice and they do a great quick job at cleaning tables shortly after people leave

The service is pretty fast and the drinks are good. I've been here many times and only had one bad experience where the bartender thought my ID was fake and asked for my vaccine card (in 2022, I didn't have it on me obviously). I was there for a friend's 21st and we all left. Luckily that bartender doesn't seem to be there anymore so good riddance! Great spot.

Was debating staying home and watching my cat clean itself but saw there was a little bar two blocks from my place. Best decision ever: bored on a Sunday, Nick is the guy to see. Trying to hang on to the weekend a little longer? Missa Mondays can range from arts n crafts to a game of guess that jukebox jam.

I am a rock lover and it is a shame to be in a place where they are racist and they only take you out of first place for not being “one of them.” I paid for a couple of songs and they lowered the volume, removing us from the place after 5 minutes of having sold us “the last one”I am a rock lover and it is a shame to be in a place where they are racist and they only take you out of first place for not being “one of them” I paid for a couple of songs and they lowered the volume, removing us from the place after 5 minutes of having sold us “the last one”

They are quite racist, when we played rock songs in Spanish that we had to pay for, they lowered the volume and wanted to kick us out for asking them to turn up the volume. The worst experience.

A group of us came here on Wednesday (11/22/2023) and the bartender was being a dick. One of us had put in between 10-20 dollars worth into the jukebox but his music kept getting bypassed by the bartender. One of our other friends went up there and talked to him about it and he was being ultra rude about it and when she asked him for his managers name, he refused to give it. Mind you, this was not our groups first time at the bar, and prior experiences have always been pleasant with other bartenders, but this bartender was lacking in customer service skills. If the jukebox is not guaranteed, please put up a sign that says it's app controlled and your music is not guaranteed to play to ensure people are not wasting their money. And train your bartender better to be more customer service friendly. We get that it was the end of the night and it was a holiday, but friendliness does not require much effort, especially when we're spending a lot of money.

Im thrilled to share my fantastic experience with Nichole at Thirsty's Bar! Her service is outstanding, always attentive, and she genuinely connects with customers. She's the reason for the warm and inviting atmosphere here, and the overall vibes in this bar are great. She's a real treasure, and I'm grateful for her wonderful service."

The bartender, ICA, was rude, wouldn’t even greet my group of friends and 86ed me before I even sat down for absolutely no reason. What happened to deserve this disrespect? She really needs to work on common courtesy and customer service. Won’t see me in this bar ever again. Someone needs to tell her she is in the service industry.

After dinner at Mio Vicino on July 11, 2023, Edward, Ray, Garry and I decided to walk a few steps to the Thirsty Bar to treat birthday boy Brent to some celebratory drinks. We walked in shortly after 9:15 PM. The bar was practically empty, only a table or two occupied, maybe a couple of people at the bar counter, and two people playing pool. Needless to say, we immediately found a table to seat ourselves. A mix of 70's and 80's songs was playing along which Brent was joyfully singing. The bar was dim with lights coming from the game area as well as from the television screens playing sports above the bar. In the dark, the venue appeared to be well kept, even the women's bathroom was clean, pretty pristine compared to the filthy toilet at Mio Vicino. No table service here...or just on the night of our visit. No worries, the bar counter was only a few steps away from our table to place our drink orders. Transaction time from placing orders to receiving the drinks was quick and easy, as it should be. We ordered two rounds during our visit of about a couple of hours. The Thirsty Bar looks like it has potential to be a cool local bar hangout, attracting crowds, especially if they play good music. I wouldn't be surprised if some dancing occurs here. I, myself, wouldn't drive nearly an hour from my house just to a grab a drink here unless it's for a planned special event with others. One observation that I should mention - as we were sitting, enjoying our drinks, a customer walked out and had a yelling exchange of profanities with the bartender. I think it was drama, but it could have possibly just been punk rock behaviour between two persons. Hard so say, but if that kind of stuff makes you uncomfortable, then maybe you should skip this place.

Looks the same from pre-covid days. Need to log in more time to have a better assessment!

Very rude bartender, she refused to serve me beer just because I had a drink before coming. Mind you I was not a drunk at all, was carrying my ID and was mostly on the sober side. When I asked the bartender why she wouldn’t let me have a drink, her response was “because I can”.

I WAS GOING TO LEAVE MY OWN REVIEW BUT READING THE 2 PRIOR ONES....I GOTTA DEFEND THE BARTENDER I THINK HER NAME IS ICA. GOTTA GIVE HER KUDOS FOR HANDLING THE GENTELMAN THAT WERE THERE GIVING HER A SUPER HARD TIME. THESE GUYS CAUSED A COMOTION BECAUSE SHE REFUSED TO SERVICE THEM SO OBVIOUS THAT THEY WERE ALREADY DRUNK.SHE HANDLED THEM SUPER PROFESSIONAL. NO BARTENDER NEEDS TO BE ABUSED IN SUCH MATTER FOR DOING HER JOB AND CHECKING ID'S. DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK WITH MY COWORKERS JUST FOR HER!

Rudest people I’ve ever met. [EDIT].None of us were students from SCU. We were students from Canada who provided all the necessary ID's yet were still harassed and were given comments by the bartender regarding "having a bigger p**is" than us.And as for the number of people in the bar, there was probably a maximum of 10 people in there, nothing for the Fire Department to worry about.Bottom line, be nicer to customers from out of state/country.
