Tried the grilled spicy pork bibimbap and it was delicous. Great flavors all around, crunchy vegetables, tender well-seasoned pork. Keeper!

The owner is so rude. Constantly yelling at her employees and always seems to be in a rush. It's unfortunate because the food is good. However, customer service is also a part of the experience and it failed completely.

4.5 STARS Unpopular opinion: Ketchup on eggs is BOMB! The way the sweet acidity cuts through the richness of the eggs got me feeling some type of way. I grew up eating it this way and never thought it got so much hate until several months ago. Just look on Reddit. What can I say, I eat like a 5 year old! Gilgeori toast aka Korean street toast takes it a step further...not only is there ketchup on eggs, there's mayo AND sugar. It may not be for everyone but if you love salty-sweet foods, it may hit for you. Sunny's To Go is an unassuming, hidden gem in Santa Clara's K-Town area. They're a mom and pop shop that's been open since 2016 (less than 40 reviews?!). I only noticed them when I was passing through and saw outdoor seating (same plaza as Dae Bak). They were formerly called "BBQ Lovers" and kept the old signage. There's a net screen in front of the door (keeps bugs out) so I thought they were closed but they're not. They're open for takeout and delivery. Everything is packed as takeout but there's some seating if you would like to dine-in. M E N U Korean fare and grab 'n go banchan. Catering available. F O O D * Gilgeori: K Toast w/ over easy egg, cheese, special jam ($6.75): --Add spam ($3.50) Korean street toast has been trending in the last several years yet it's so hard to find. There's different variations but it's usually griddled/toasted bread with an omelet, cheese, cabbage slaw, mayo, sugar, and ketchup. Sunny's homestyle take is an over easy egg with mozzarella cheese stuffed into a slice of fluffy soft white bread with a generous smear of sweet mayo (cut w/ condensed milk?) that's folded over. A pack of ketchup is provided on the side. Gotta add spam just cuz. The result? Hella delicious salty-sweet combo with an oozy, drippy yolk. Again, it may not be for everyone but we loved this! * CK Pop: Fried Chicken Bites w/ special Korean-style sauce (Small - $9): Hot and crunchy popcorn chicken bites coated in a yangnyeom style sauce - savory and spicy with a kiss of sweetness. Heavy on the batter but the flavor and heat were on-point. * Sunny's Bento w/ galbi steak, spam, kimchi, japchae, sesame broccoli, radish kimchi ($19.85): The galbi steak is boneless short ribs but on the leaner side cooked medium rare and tender. Served with a bed of rice crowned with pan-fried spam and banchan. All the banchan are made in-house and solid. S E R V I C E Humble, mom and pop shop with a sweet and accommodating owner(s). They said, covid has been hard on them and especially so because their storefront is easily missed. Visited for a late lunch so prompt food service. A M B I A N C E Hole-in-the-wall with two tables inside and three tables outside. P A R K I N G Limited parking in the microplaza but they have two dedicated parking spots in front. Overall, if you love salty-sweet foods or ketchup on eggs, don't sleep on the K Toast at Sunny's. Support this small local business if you're in the area.

The portions are huge! I struggle because it's so good and I want to eat every last bite. The egg Mari fried rice is my go-to - it's wrapped in egg and has this savory sauce on top (part mayo? Teriyaki type sauce? Not sure but it just adds that extra umami). Chicken pop is fire - super crispy with a spicy Korean style sauce. Love their kimchi too - so fresh and crunchy. Everything I've had here has been fresh & so flavorful. Highly recommend

Had the food a few times already and every time has been delicious. Small shop more for to-go orders but they come in huge portions. The egg mari fried rice is so good, and you can pick and choose what you want in the fried rice, all the ingredients are fresh and you can taste the quality. I highly recommend.

I love this place! Have ordered twice now from DoorDash (they're listed as "Sunny's Dinner To Go" on DoorDash) and their K Toast is my current favorite thing to eat!!! We have tried: - Egg mari fried rice (comes with japche glass noodles inside!) with a side of meat of your choice (I usually get rib eye bulgogi) $20 - fried rice inside a delicious egg omelet. So so good - BBQ Combo ($23.35) - bento with jabche noodle, fish cakes, steamed rice, and we get it with LA Galbi. Delicious! - Korean Bibimbap ($14.50) - Original hot sauce and we got it with spicy pork bulgogi. Good, have had other bibimbaps that are better though with better vegetables - Radish Salad ($5.50) - the other dishes don't come with banchan, so this is a good one - K Toast ($7.50) - Imagine the best bread combined with the best egg and the best jam and the best cheese and THIS IS IT!!! It is literally the perfect perfect combo of texture, flavor (I guarantee if you're a carb lover you will love this!!) I'm obsessed with this. I get the normal K Toast (it says cheese but honestly you don't really even taste the cheese so I leave it in there and they have this amazing runny egg with this sweet jam and this fantastically fresh doughy chewy bread) and I've also tried it with a fried shrimp in there (+$2 extra and it's yummy also) but the normal K Toast without any bonus toppings is SO SO SO GOOD - Grill Chicken Teriyaki ($17.99) - Standard chicken teriyaki, got it for protein, but wouldn't order it again - Chicken Pop (S) $9.50) - Fried chicken bites with special Korean Style sauce - good - Spicy Dried Squid ($8.99) - they give a pretty big portion, lasts a while, it was good - Honey Shrimp (5 pcs) ($8.50) - fried honey shrimp, good - Yooche namul ($7.50) - thought this was too salty. The pic on Doordash seemed like it only had sesame seeds, but the actual dish has soybeans and salty soy bean paste Highly recommend the K Toast and Egg Mari Fried Rice!!

This is the best Korean style bbq I have ever tried! The Egg Mari fried rice is to die for, I highly recommend it, the flavor is authentic, fresh, the sauces are delicious as well and the portion size is very generous I have been to Korea and this is the best bbq I have tried !

A nice little hole-in-the-wall place! It's quite hidden, just a discrete door on the left side of the plaza. It's quite small inside with pretty much just 1 table to sit at, but there is a variety of food options! They have some premade meals/takeout dishes, some premade cold side dishes, and hot food made to order. We ordered two bentos and they were PACKED with meat! I would come again if I need a quick takeout meal in the area!

Catered for a corporate company event dinner, and the food was delicious! The veggies looked and tasted fresh and the selection was vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian-friendly with home-made taste and minimal sodium. We ordered buffet style and had plenty of leftovers, though Sunny's offers bento boxes for large group orders as well. She arrived early with all equipment needed and the set-up process was quick and efficient. Highlights were the fried popcorn chicken and vegetable japchae, but people offered great compliments on the food all around!
