Not sure what the low ratings are for, this place is great!! The Sweet & Sour Chicken was amazing, with a very light breading so it wasn't heavy with excess. There was no taste of anything else cooked in the oil or anything weird like that. The portions were what you would expect for the price. So, call this a fake review or whatever, but the majority of people have the same experience I did, so read into negative reviews carefully.
Went back here after a long hiatus, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the food. Had sesame chicken which was well flavored, crispy, and tangy; chow fun with black bean sauce; and wok-fried green beans. Prices were also very reasonable at about $30 for everything.
Chef Mings is an off the beaten path gem of a restaurant with a long standing and loyal clientele. All of the food is delicious and obviously prepared with so much love and care! Whether or not you are a vegetarian the tangerine tofu is a must try! Over the course of 20 years I have taken many family and friends there who also became fans not only of the restaurant but quite specifically of this dish--personally I have packed it in ice and brought it home in my checked luggage...
