The food is actually pretty good, and the prices are high but portions are generous and worth the price. But service and operations are TERRIBLE.
1) Line is long - be prepared to wait an hour. They also allocate 2 people to 4 person tables and leave empty tables for a while without seating people. Cleaning and setting a table took them 5 minutes. Generally the line was not managed efficiently.
2) Food took almost 45min to come. Even the cold appetizers which would have taken just a few minutes to take out of the refrigerator and plate. I don’t understand why you can’t just at least serve that first.
3) Water / tea wasn’t served until about 15min after sitting. Also not refilled regularly.
4) Within 10min of them serving all our food, they served us the bill and asked us to pay. This was about 30min before closing. Then the server started purposefully pacing back and forth next to us while we had just started eating to rush us to pay. I mean - dude you took almost an hour to serve us food and now you’re harrying us to pay? Are you serious? So rude and inconsiderate.
5) They started turning people away at around 7:45 and said they were out of food. When they close at 10. Clearly wholly unprepared.
Overall - this is a new establishment with promising food but service was a letdown. Huge room to improve on how the restaurant is run.

This place is not ready for their grand opening. Their operations is a mess. 1 hour wait to get seated and another 40 minutes to get our food. It would be less outrageous if they can at least serve the banchan for us while waiting for our order. They were also turning people away 1.5 hours before closing because "they ran out of food"

What an amazing find of a Korean restaurant! I've been craving marinated shrimp and crab since coming back from a Korea trip and was happy to hear this restaurant had it on their menu.
We ordered their beef tartar, braised mackerel, and the marinated crab rice bowl combo (with marinated shrimp), as well as a bottle of Sang makgeolli. The portions were larger than expected, and all the food was delicious! The makgeolli was great as well.
The ambiance inside is very bright and modern. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Service was fast. Overall, great experience and would definitely come back to try other items on their menu.

Expensive but also large quantity.
This Korean restaurant price is a bit high but the quality, environment and service are good.
The special thing is the meat pancake (meat joen?), which doesn’t see this dish on menu often but delicious.
We came lunch time , one pumpkin porridge , one pancake , share the short ribs + plus 18% tips , around $45 per person .

The soy marinated raw crab dish was really good. We also had the beef tartare which is very fresh. Side dish was ok, a bit more on the salty side. Would love to go back and try the spicy version of the raw crab next time.

We’ve tried Damso three times now. Each time we ordered the set menu with barley rice that comes with all the lovely banchans, fish, soup, a started pumpkin soup, appetizer and dessert. Very tasty and nice presentation.
For the most part, servers were fine but one guy who is also the host refilled the wrong banchans and he didn’t allow refilling certain banchans when the requested. That’s why i dropped down one star. Also if you go closer to opening hour, the veggies are fresher.
Parking is a shared lot, gets very crowded!
The set is $39 pp and requires two orders minimum.

The barley rice set meal was very generous and delicious. The seasoning of all the vegetables was just right. The soybean paste stew was a little salty, but I enjoyed it with just the shepherd's purse. The staff were so friendly that I felt like I was in Korea.
