Small hole in the wall kinda restaurant. Great taste. Very tender chicken perfectly spiced and grilled. Chickpea sauce needs a special mention.

Honestly, I did not like this kabob place before but now I love it. I used to be die hard fan of De Afghanan kabob only and didn't think the food here was spectacular because I never really gave them a chance. The past two times I had kabob here it was actually so good and I realized I was wrong. It is possible to have two favorite kabob places in Fremont. This is also a nice place to dine in. The decor is really cute and the service is actually wonderful. You can also come here for Afghan Ice Cream. It's a great way to end your meal or just to enjoy alone. Yeah the kabob it a little on the pricier side but it's good quality and will leave you nice, happy and full.

Had the roasted Lamb, as well as chicken and beef kabobs, and all of it was wonderful. The lamb was as tender as I have had anywhere in the bay area and Came in a great portion for the price of the dish. The chicken and beef were delicious and had just the right amount of seasoning remaining to flavor the rice.If you have not, definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.Dietary restrictions: Food served is Halal

This is one of the few Afghan restaurants in the Bay Area and they make good food. I especially love the beef tikka kababs and rice. The service is polite and whole the restaurant itself is small, it's cozy. I recommend it as a good place to have lunch if you're around Santa Clara's Great America Parkway area.

Went on Thursday evening. The guy taking the orders was super Nice and recommended some good stuff. Also threw in some sauces, utensil and a piece of bread without having to ask.

I enjoyed my dining experience at Fremont Kabob in San Francisco. The Chapli Kabob was an absolute delight - bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The service was exceptional. Fremont Kabob has become my go-to spot when I'm in town for its consistently delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I usually go to the this restaurant in Fremont that is clean, good food and excellent service. I thought Santa Clara was a similar place so I took my coworkers there. I was ashamed for the choice I made as the restaurant was dirty. While prices were same as Fremont ($22 per order of Kebab) but everything was self service. An oily dirty person appeared from kitchen and took our order, no smile, oily cloths, ugly paper plates. These people need to know that when you put the name "Afghan" on your restaurant, you represent a people and a culture as a whole. If you have a dirty restaurant, dirty cloths bad/no service, this is how you set a perception about the people as a whole. I hope that the management of this restaurant make changes and improve their service and pay attention to keeping it clean and organized.

We came hungry from spending day doing activities in San Francisco. Food was served fairly quickly and tasted delicious. As an individual from Toronto we are pretty spoiled with food and we know our food so I wasn't expecting much but it was a delightful experience. I must say the firnee was better then I've eaten at 50 plus Afghani restaurants all over US and Canada.

I loved this place! I chose it because it had Aush, an Afghan beans and greens soup, it had good reviews, and it was close to my friend's apartment. Even though it was in a strip mall, the decor was lovely with traditional Afghan hangings and photos. Parking was ample, too. I'm very fond of cuisine from countries that have had many cultures traipse through it. I love Nepalese food for the combo of Indian and Chinese food; Vietnamese food for the combo of French, Chinese, and Vietnamese food; Indonesian food for the combo of Chinese, Indian, and Malay food; and Afghan food for the combo of Indian and Middle Eastern food. My friend was not familiar with Afghan food so I did the ordering. We started off with soup. I'm sure every Afghani has their own version of Aush but it's always delicious with fenugreek and cumin and packed with beans and greens. The Dahl was delicious. It was conservatively spiced so it didn't hit you in the face with curry flavors. The soup came with the wonderful Afghani flat bread sprinkled with sesame seeds. I love mantoo! This was played so beautifully sitting in a puddle of yogurt and then topped with hot pepper oil. The noodle wrapper was so delicate and the meat filling was well spiced. What a taste treat!I ordered combo kebab plates. Hers was chicken and beef. Mine was the chapli, spiced ground beef, and beef. I asked for mild and then we were given hot sauce. I never order spicy because the chef's idea of spicy might blow my head off. I always order hot sauce on the side. The service was very nice. It was provided by young family members who were a touch lackluster until you engaged them. Then, they lit up with smiles and suggestions. I look forward to coming back!

Fremont has all the good Afghan restaurants, this Santa Clara outpost was just as good. The ambiance was casual, you order at the front counter and they will bring you the food.Got the usual items: bolani, Korma Chicken, qabili palau. All were excellent: bolani was piping hot and aromatic with delish fillings, Korma chicken with the addictive sauce, qabili palau lamb was juicy, falls off the bone and not gamey at all.
