First time visiting this place after seeing it on yelp. Looking for a great skewer place that was authentic (thinking of China). As we approached the entrance we were greeted by an amazing smell of grilled food. Everyone seemed very excited and the wait was long due to many hungry customers. The staff was very friendly and the food even before eating, I know it is fantastic just from the smell and looks.

The large intestines are super delicious, and there are quite a few skewers in each portion, so don’t order too many at once.There is no duck blood in Malatang, so you have to order it separately. The taste is okay, so don’t expect too much.Everything is a little spicy, each skewer is seasoned almost the same, a little salty but tastes good.Don't order gluten, it is tasteless, chewy and not tasty.Will visit again18% tip calculated for 6 people

Meat came out cold even though the it was peak hours. I asked them to turn on my stove fire 3 times and they never did. Ate cold meat the entire time and left, will never return

Waiters are nice and polite. Cold noodle is tasty and worth to try. I ordered pork leg bone, but no knife and fork or glove provided. Lamb kidney and chicken heart are over cooked. Like others said, you do not smell any smoke in the store. Barbecue skewers are not tastes like BBQ.

Friendship BBQ is my go-to place for skewers in South Bay. They've got an awesome selection of meats and IMO, the majority of things I've tried here are really tasty. Special shoutouts to the following:1. (Xinjiang?) Lamb on the Rose Branch. The rose branch doesn't do anything, but the cut of meat + seasoning are great.2. Mongolian beef3. POTATO TORNADO. Looks lame. Sounds lame. Tastes yum!4. Rice cakes - nice textureI recently tried the Mala Vegetable Soup as well after seeing the employees constantly snacking on it. That's a sleeper and a perfect dish for a rainy/cold day. If you're sensitive to spicy food, make sure to mention it on the order instructions!I've been here a handful of weekdays and one weekend. Service here can be a little slow, but not egregiously so. I imagine it's due to the steady stream of doordash orders that Friendship has to service.Finally, the environment is decidedly CN Skewer spot. I'm not sure if there's a better way to describe it :).
