Impressive. Top notch. Everything was clean. Great service. Ordered a cocktail off menu and it was great. Would certainly return again. Lam and chicken dishes were amazing.

Waste of money! Big let down.....
This place feels like it caters mainly to corporate India. Everyone around was Indian dressed in work clothes, probably here on their office cards. Unfortunately, the food was a big letdown. The flavors were bland, the dishes lacked character, and nothing stood out in taste. For such underwhelming quality, the prices were shockingly high, which makes sense only if the office cards are expensing their meals.
On the plus side, service was fast, but the servers looked visibly stressed and rushed, which didn’t add much to the atmosphere. Overall, a disappointing experience. Definitely not worth coming back.

Don’t recommend visiting this place with family on weekdays. It’s an overpriced and inauthentic Indian restaurant that mainly caters to large corporate groups from Nvidia and other nearby tech companies for team outings. Not worth it if you’re looking for genuine Indian food or a family dining experience.

Went here for a team lunch and loved it! Unique dishes, beautiful presentation, and amazing flavors. Friendly service and a warm atmosphere made it even better. A must-try for great Indian food in Sunnyvale!

This restaurant has a nice ambience. Pretty expensive for the bay area as well. We ordered do din wali daal basically dal makhni, came out good and paneer makhmali gravy was good however there is a twist for paneer pieces they made a roll of it. Paneer was hard and chewy .It was difficult to cut with the spoon too . I expected it to be better for the price they are charging .
Taste was at par with most Indian restaurants. Basically there were 4 kinds of breads to choose from. I loved their garlic basil paratha. Rest were okay . We have to see our server here & there to aadd order for breads.
Now ,comes the atomsphere, I guess we paid over $100 for the experience but our was corner table facing the kitchen. It was busy like servers going in / out every now and then . That's still okay. While we were finishing up , having conversations going on, one of the servers starts cleaning all the cutlery just 2 feet from us . It's not even late night ,it was around 9 ish ,the typical.dinner time . The clanking was so loud and noisy, we had to leave .

A reservation wasn't required for Saturday dinner. The appetizer portions are very small. Main course curries are very filling because they are loaded with ghee/butter. Extremely small $7 parotta !
Good: paan patta chaat, bhuna mirch makai, makhmali paneer

We went for a team lunch and absolutely loved the place and food. We had golgappe and dahi puri as starters. We then ordered food which came in bowls, which is not typical of Indian food, but was ok. For starters we loved the phirni brulee which was a fusion of creme brulee and phirni which is an Indian delicacy.

I’ve been to Jaks before and really liked the food on my first visit. On my second visit, though, the experience felt a bit more average. The food was okay, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations from last time.

Good food and ambiance
Appetizers wefe truly amazing. We loved the twist in the corn dish - it was a treat all of us loved. Soya chaap was full of flavor. Bread (chilli and basil garlic) had too much ghee for my liking but crisp and interesting breads.
Butter chicken was good but a bit salty. Not the best butter chicken. Paneer makhanwala was again an interesting take on conventional paneer curry - bit sweet but really tasty.
Paan kulfi - Looked the most aesthetic and beautiful but the highlight of the meal was brulee phirni (rice pudding) with the caramels and raisins.
Definitely recommend for a fine dine Indian cuisine - a tad bit unjustified for the cost but good ambience.
