Good place for evening snacks. I would recommend the chai, cookies, and puffs.

If you're seeking an unforgettable culinary journey, look no further than kettle’e in San Jose. I recently had the pleasure of indulging in their Iftaar buffet, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. As I made my way to the buffet spread, I was impressed by the variety and quality of dishes presented. For a mere $20, I was treated to a remarkable selection of 12-13 dishes, each surpassing my expectations. The paya, in particular, stood out as a true masterpiece, unrivaled by any other I've tasted. The chicken and goat curries were bursting with flavor, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs. But the delights didn't end there. From tantalizing appetizers like pakoras and dahi bhalle to refreshing juices and smoothies, every aspect of the buffet was meticulously curated to delight the palate. Even the vegetarian options, including chole, noodles, and dal, were a testament to the restaurant's dedication to catering to all tastes. What truly sets kettle’e apart is their unwavering commitment to excellence. Despite being a buffet, there was no compromise on quality. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, ensuring a dining experience that exceeded all expectations. It's baffling to me how this place isn't already a household name for its Iftaar buffet. After experiencing it firsthand, I can confidently say that it deserves every bit of recognition and more. In fact, I was so impressed that I found myself returning multiple times, unable to resist the allure of their delectable offerings. In conclusion, if you're in search of an extraordinary dining experience that celebrates the essence of Iftaar, look no further than kettle’e Trust me, you won't be disappointed.P.S- halal food.
We went for weekend breakfast had egg bhujia with paratha, chole bhature plus irani chai all was good but service was Lil slow and no music that part was boring..pls add some light music so that people can enjoy food not others noise.
I wish there was a way to give 0 star rating. The Irani chai costed $6 pre-tax, which I found unnecessarily expensive. Infact, all the items seem expensive compared to other restaurants. They took 20 minutes to serve a single chai. The maintenance and service of this place is awful. Even by normal chai standards, it tasted horrible. They have gone overboard with ginger and skimped on milk (in Irani chai!!!), resulting in a very bitter flavor. The chef was arrogant when I expressed my dissatisfaction about the quality and the taste. In the end, I had no choice but to discard the chai.

I always thought the place is overly priced for below average food. The only thing that keeps us coming is the halwa Poori chholey combo. But we found a big cockroach in aaloo paratha one day. The most ridiculous place ever and never going back

Have been going to this place for some time now, mostly for the weekend halwa puri chole combo. Used to be good! Recently, it's mostly been a miss in terms of flavors.Felt the need to come to Yelp and review it because we found a cockroach rolled into our paratha!!The management has just been off recently. The halwa was not warm in the halwa puri combo. When I pointed that out, the server said that some people like it not to be warm (weird). With the paratha, they gave nothing else - no raita, no pickle, no butter, which they used to earlier. If you ask for it, they'll get them. And then of course, the cockroach episode was the final nail in the coffin. While the server was very apologetic saying that they do clean their kitchen every evening, I don't think I can ever eat their food again.

I tried irani chai here, and totally disappointed. It does not have any authentic flavor or taste to call it a good chai. The other items (chicken fried rice and chicken puff) are just okay.

I got pastries from here yesterday and when I came home and took them out of box, I was shocked to see they were all stale. The bread had turned all black and cream had black spots on it. Not going again. Such bad experience. Waste of money. ?

This place is very stuffy inside. We ordered 3 kati roll and they were really bad. All I could taste are overpowering onions and hardly any shami kababs. Overpriced..the staff had no clue what they were doing. Most importantly the food is questionable.
