Rice Junky - Santa Clara (Korean Restaurant)

Walked in at lunch hour. One staff approached and said “I cannot serve you guys, i’m very busy now. Go Wait outside.” That was the end of it.

We celebrated the turning of our granddaughters entrance to teenage life together.

I had the pleasure of dining at Rice Junky in Santa Clara today, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, Joe, the manager, and Jay, the server, made me feel incredibly welcome. Their attention to detail and genuine care for customers shone through in every interaction.

The food, oh, the food! It was a delightful journey through flavors that are both comforting and exciting. Each dish was prepared with such skill and passion, truly showcasing the best of Korean cuisine. The ambiance of Rice Junky added to the overall enjoyment, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that complements the culinary experience perfectly.

I cannot recommend Rice Junky enough to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience in Santa Clara. Thank you, Joe and Jay, for making my day brighter. I look forward to my next visit!

Really cool cafe serving amazing Korean food. They have the best Soju cocktails I've ever had. Open late night too which is a big plus in the Bay Area.

Wasn't sure about this at first, but after eating I'd say it's a banger. Staff were super friendly and funny, and the chicken was insaaane. Way way flavourful. The ordering was a little different for me, as it was on a tablet, but it didn't hinder the experience as the staff was very friendly. I would recommend scrolling through the menu thoroughly before ordering. Lots of good looking stuff I wish I could go back!

We thought it closed at 12 so we got there at 11:15 for a night cap but they turned us away, so get there well before closing

Solid Korean pub-style food with all your usual favorites like seafood pancake, tteokbokki, and fried chicken! We also had the skewers and pork bulgogi bowl, nothing disappointed.

Although the chestnut makgeolli was sold out, we tried the melon flavor instead and it was really nice! Think they added some fresh aloe in there and I love when places do this so it’s not just the same as a bottle I could buy from the market. And I especially love when it comes in the urns or teapots that make it feel more authentic or like something you would find in Korea. The little touches like this is fun!

The service was really fast. You order from the table tablets which was convenient.

Fast casual spot for Korean pub food. Good price for a bowl. Large portions and fast service. Sauces are interesting.
Food is pretty good but not exceptional.
