We loved the donuts here. They're crunchy, not too sweet and hit the right spot. The owner misheard 'Milk Chocolate' donut for 'Matcha Donut'. We only realized it was Matcha when we reached our car. When we went back, she kindly gave us the milk chocolate donut and let us keep the matcha one too. Service is excellent.

If you come early they currently have a discount for a half dozen so it's pretty nice.
Freshly made and tastes solid. Worth the pricing if you come early.

Mochi donut: 5/5 hands down best in the bay area, and best price
I don't why people say this is better than Santo Market or Aloha Fresh. It's good, but Aloha Fresh is clearly better. The tuna here in Modo is decent, but there are many sinew pieces. Overall the entire bowl is quite salty, and I didn't like the seasoning on the spicy tuna, though it might be personal preference.
I'm glad there's a new poke place, but I think I prefer some other poke options. I'll still be back for mochi donuts though, as those are truly the best.
This place has ruined me for other mochi donuts. If I could give the food a higher than 5 star rating, I would. They're always fresh fried & the flavor is just next level. All the varieties are great but lilikoi & cookies & cream are special stand outs

MoDo continues to feed on pop culture. Leveraging dippings with flavorings like lilikoi, matcha, ube, passion fruit - aside from traditional ones - on plain vanilla 'pon de ring' donuts.
Could not get any donuts with fillings; such a downer. Disappointed, to say the least.
Drinks are okayish. Fad for Instagram types but do not weigh up to the premium price point.

Super tiny and thin donut that you can put in your mouth in 1 bite. They charge for $$$ for a tiny donut?

Poke is great! I tried the half shoyu and half spicy bowl and it was tasty, poke is pretty fresh. I’ve had it from here about twice now.
If you like fresh hot mochi donuts Modo Hawaii is good for it. There are no pre-made donuts on display for sale. When you order the staff will make and dip fresh hot mochi donuts for your order. I like that they're not too sweet. You can also buy drinks, ice cream and poke bowls. Just make sure you bring some wet wipes as the donuts can get messy to eat from the icing but still really tasty.

Amazing mochi donuts! Their donuts come in many different flavors, and this time I ordered chocolate. Super delicious and flavorful, and I would highly recommend Modo due to the great experience and tasty donuts.

I am not not a big mochi donut eater - my wife and daughter are. BUT I have to say MoDo mochi donuts are delicious. In particular, their donuts can easily pinched apart so you can enjoy one round 'bump' at a time.

We try to stop in when we are in the area. Solid mochi donuts. This last time we ordered a few and instead of the cookies and cream, they mistakenly gave us tiramisu, which wasn’t our fave. Didn’t realize they gave us the wrong flavor till later. Now we know! 👍🏼

I love their mochi donuts!!! Super delicious and I ordered it via DoorDash and it was still warm when I got it! The matcha, earl grey, and chocolate ones are really good! Haven’t tried their cookie flavor and sesame flavor but they look yummy already

Everyone has their favorite - I’m a total Ube fan - matcha and likikoi are good - cookies and cream if you get bored - can’t really go wrong here - they are pricey but they have discounts midday - 10-noon I think
