Opa! Santa Clara

Although the hostess and our waiter were polite, the ambience of the restaurant was dismal for a Saturday. Also, there was  loud music playing that didn't feel Greek. There were also depressing news on the TVs. It would be great if it were to be sports or maybe videos of Greece. Something to set the mood to be better.

We love this Opa! Restaurant staff and the food! Marco takes such good care of all of his customers. Even on days when staff is limited he's hustling around the joint tending bar, waiting tables, cleaning up, and staying super friendly! The place just would not be the same without him.

Nice place. But the food was not great.

It’s ‘ok’ but with so many options it should be better. Manager recommended chicken sliders and they were good but bread was nothing special, toppings were pretty bland but the chicken was good. Eggplant on Veggie salad was way undercooked. Felt like a chain, not a real Mediterranean or Greek restaurant.

We had nice seating outside, and it was easy to talk. Food didn't take long, and the beef skewers were juicy.

Before we even got seated, terrible service. Walked in, empty, the server eventually begrudgingly walked up to my partner and I. Said nothing. I asked “are you open?” They said yes, and just stared at me for a few seconds. I said “can we get a table for for 2?” Just told us to sit anywhere and took a bit to get us menus. After handing menus, he just went back to the kitchen area and just stood there and stared off. We left, didn’t even bother to order because we felt severely unwelcomed

I've been to Opa! Restaurants in Walnut Creek and Campbell and have never had any issues so I wanted to take my wife and her family out for her birthday. There was literally nobody in the restaurant for the first 45 minutes we were there but they still took about 20 minutes to take our drink order. When the drinks arrived, all the sodas were flat. They switched them out and they were still extremely flat so we just drank water. I ordered the Orza chicken and besides the grilled chicken, the orzo had no flavor. My wife wanted to order a coffee but for 10 minutes the two employees on the floor were far too busy staring out the window and talking to each other to pay any attention to their guests. Having to spend well over $500 on my family for a horrible experience will not happen again at any Opa restaurant. Extremely disappointed.

Food was average. And restaurant was under staffed (staff is good but not enough of them). Not coming back.

Food was incredible, and service was great. Noise level was high on our visit thanks to a party of over 50 who should've rented out the whole restaurant and acted like they had, but that is not the restaurant's fault. Would definitely eat here again and try a new dish.

The food was excellent. We were the first people of the night and the food was a bit slow, as was the service. We were able to have a good talk over dinner.

We enjoyed our lunch and the experience at Opa! The food was delicious, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was great.

Service good, good good. Ambient noise is the issue - Very hard to have any sort of a conversation without yelling across the table.

I'm sure it was just the holiday but the tables were so close. They brought outside tables in to accommodate more guest. Our waiter never checked back with us after we got our food not even to check on drink refills and we were not offered dessert just handed out bill. We do enjoy this place but will not come back in on a holiday.

Host was very rude, sat parties in groups ??? She asked us all to follow her at the same time. She was also just generally disrespectful. I'm sure it was a busy night, but one doesn't have to be rude. Server was very kind, food was amazing. Host was VERY rude though.

Greeting wasn't as warm. Guy didn't seem too interested or distracted. But when we sat down our waiters were attentive. We ordered masala, lamb shank and a small shareable salad. Everything came out great! I wish they still have Octopus but it's all good!
