The restaurant and facilities were clean, the service was excellent, and the staff outgoing and professional. The quality of the food was poor. I had the black cod, which was cooked in some kind of overpoweringly sweet, syrupy sauce that made the dish unappetizing. I was unfamiliar with Pacific Catch prior to this visit and found it to be a mediocre chain at best.
We find this location to be easy to access and typically have no problem getting a table when we want. Service is always good and the food is well-prepared. On this occasion, our server could have been more friendly. She did not introduce herself, and she had no expression when talking to us. The gentleman who brought us our waters was much friendlier. We have seen him before, and he is always very pleasant. The people who brought our food out to us were friendly and eager to make sure that we had everything we needed. We will be back.
Went for lunch with two co-workers. We were seated inside right away. The staff were nice and attentive. I'm a Pacific Catch rewards member, and I received a message stating that you could have a free shareable if you let your server know. We decided to have the Coconut Shrimp for the shareable, which was very good! We also enjoyed eating the Japanese Wasabi Original Ahi Poke bowl.
Here's some of the selections that I've had in the past at various Pacific Catch restaurants that I really liked. Seabass Skewers, Baja Shrimp Ceviche, Guaca-Poke, Grilled Asparagus, Sushi Rolls, Miso Black Cod, Lobster Roll, Taco Plater, Fish and Chips, Kanpachi, Chocolate Lava cake, Pineapple Right Side Up cake, Hula Brownie Sundae.

I've been dining here for several years, their fish is always fresh. But yesterday the food was greasy, smelly, and mostly inedible. Fries were old and soggy. Tacos were barely warm and soggy as well. Fish was not fresh, there were just greasy pieces. Very disappointing. Not sure if I will be coming back.
I had the fresh catch special when the broccolini and grilled eggplant. The spices on the veggies was fabulous. That was the best tasting meal I've had out in a long time! Can't wait to come back!!

This used to be one our favorite places - my wife and I were regulars. But something happened in the last couple months. They changed the menu - took out many of our favorite dishes, and everything else got more expensive. They added a mysterious 3% service surcharge that the waiter won't tell you about until you see it on the bill. Last time we went, the table and seats were dirty, the plate was dirty, and the floor had spills that they didn't clean up not even after we were done. Just feels like everything has gone down hill all of the sudden. We used to love this place but really sad to say that we won't be returning anymore.

I ordered the Korean BBQ plate with both steak and ribs for the meat options. While the food was incredibly flavorful, I did weigh the meat beforehand (for calorie counting purposes) and found that while the ribs were pretty uniform in weight (75g each), there was only 2 oz of cooked steak, which would indicate that 50% of the weight cost lost in cooking (it was advertised as 4 oz), and even giving the benefit of the doubt for water loss that seems way too high.
Edit: having gotten a few of their fish dishes, and had the steak a few other times too, the small portion was probably a bit of a fluke, other times it's weighed it just about where it should (4.5 oz cooked weight, on a 6 oz raw weight). Their fish options are also great,

Great food, service, and atmosphere. I had the sea bass with a side of Brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. A gentleman, who might have been the owner, checked in with us about the food and kindly opened the door for us on our way out. A really thoughtful touch that made the experience even better.

It was a good place to meet my friends. The parking is hard to make difficult, but overall it is a good restaurant.
Pacific catch in Santa Clara was an awesome experience overall. The atmosphere gives off a beach vibe that is well organized and clean. The services were professional and welcoming overall; however, there could be a wait time getting served depending on how busy it is. They offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options; the cusines were well presented, and the ingredients were fresh with excellent quality. This is definitely a recommended spot if you're in the Santa Clara, California area.
