Piatti's will be closing this week 7/27/2023 and I have enjoyed dining at this establishment the past 10+years. I have gotten to know most of the waiters and so sad to see this go. The food has always been delicious and the staff attentive, friendly and all around great.

I agree with other reviews. The food is great, but the service is lacking. Our server got upset when we told him to split the check. He was noticeably frustrated which took away from our experience. The food is delicious, though, so I would go back again. I would just hope for a better server experience next time.
Always awesome!! Can't tell you how much I appreciate the staff there and the food is amazing. So grateful to have been able to be a part of the community for 16 years. ❤️❤️❤️

Been coming here for years. During the pandemic we could get Mason jar cocktails to go. Also pizza and salads for our group gatherings in the alviso marinaparking lots.Great to come into the restaurant now that covid restrictions have been lifted. Wish that doordash had more items from regular menu.Loved sitting outside and having caprese salad w baratta cheese, almond slices, and yellow beets. Wonderful ginger julep made w ginger syrup, ginger Ale, and crushed mint. Wish those were on doordash.It's true that no one likes having to pay for bread!Great people.Ps. Caesar salad on menu states boquerones or anchovies. However the salad has none. No, it's not in the dressing....

I was given a recommendation on this place & my friend certainly steered us in the right direction The food was outstanding... my friend had the pasta with clams Shrimp & calamari which was excellent.. I had the salmon with black rice & enjoyed every morsel. Will be back!!!

Overall the food was quite average and nothing from the menu stood out to us. We certainly could have spent money somewhere cheaper and could have gotten equal or better value, unfortunately. There is nothing inherently wrong with the place, but we didn't enjoy anything about it either.

Great atmosphere and food, disappointing that an Italian restaurant didn’t have Italian sausage, chicken parmigiana or cheese or meat ravioli and bread was an extra charge , tried the steak and potatoes, steak needed more seasoning, fries were great, tiramisu was also very good , service was fantastic, thank you !

The food was good! Service was decent but I have lots of problem with the way they computed their bill. Fist they gave us a wrong bill with other items that we didn't order. They came bk second time still with inaccurate bill. Finally they came back with the right bill. When we gave them our credit card they, without our consent, they added almost 22% tips in addition to a 4% surcharge. I found this quite absurd but didn't want to bother with it as we need to rush to the airport.

We are weekly regulars at Piatti--it's our neighborhood spot. The food is consistently high quality, and the staff is all really friendly and responsive. It just feels like dining with old friends. Last evening we both tried the swordfish special--an excellent preparation with creamy polenta and spinach. Pizzas and pastas are consistently high quality. Would like to see the menu vary more often so we can enjoy new dishes...

We can always count on Piatti's for a great dining experience. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is perfect for dining with any number of friends or family. We always feel welcome, are treated friendly and leave knowing we'll come back soon!
The restaurant is completely empty on a Saturday night, and I understand why. They charge you for basic bread that is provided with meal for free at other Piatti locations, and they charge a 4% surcharge fee to your final check to customers. We asked the manager why we were charged for the fee and couldn't explain. He says it's mandated by the city, but why don't I see it charged by other restaurant in the area?

First time eating at Piatti Santa Clara. The pasta water did not seem to have been salted. We ordered the bread which we never got, but wasn't charged for it. Glad we tried it, but we probably won't go back.

Came here for a private event with a large group. Had a room reserved for the party. Fast and efficient service and good food.

The quality of the food was in no way comparable to the menu description or the price charged. The main course arrived within two minutes of the appetizer. I was told it was because the chef wasn't very busy.
Ordered the lemon ravioli, bucatini and a pizza. The ravioli was not cooked thoroughly so the dough edges were hard. The bucatini was bland and the pizza way too salty. The best part of the meal was the bread...it was super warm and nicely crusty. Will not be going back.
