I don't like to write negative reviews; but his place warrants it. Went on a Saturday around 2:20pm and place closes at 3pm. First of all, the goat had a lot of tough, chewy meat. The reason why I gave one star is because at 3pm or shortly before, they were clearing all the food away. There was a family, a couple and myself still eating. From my experience at other buffet restaurants, they keep the food out for the customers still eating even after closing time.At some other buffet restaurants, we would be told they will soon be closing and to get what food we want to eat before they start clearing. Not at this El Camino Sakoon restaurant. I believe it was around 3pm when I went to get a serving of the rice pudding (Kheer). All the entrees were gone except for the Kheer and two other desserts in large bowls next to it. I asked the guy who I believe was managing the restaurant for a ladle. He had impatient rude look on his face and told me to use the teaspoon. The father of the family still eating came next to me to get dessert. He was also told to use the teaspoon. I told the father that restaurants normally keep the food out until the last customer. He replied that Sakoon in Mt. View is more "chilled". In other words, Mt. View Sakoon would have kept the food out and not be so impatient to customers like El Camino Sakoon.I felt the manager's mannerism was very rude and didn't bother to give me and the father a ladle for the dessert. It was easy enough to do so. Extremely rude attitude!!After I ate my Kheer and walked to my car, it was 3:09pm. Therefore, I truly believe the manager had his employees start clearing out the food even shortly before 3pm.If and when I crave for Indian buffet food, I will most likely go to the one in Mt. View. Eating at restaurants should be a pleasant experience.

I had a friend visiting from Austin, Texas; and I took him out for lunch at this place. I couldn't believe the quality of service degraded so much! The server brought 4 small pieces of naan at our table, we were three and we asked for more naan; even after multiple requests the server didn't bring naan. We were so disappointed that we finished our food and left. While we were leaving the front lady herself went in and got some naan, which was beyond ridiculous :-) how can you offer naan when someone has finished eating and leaving. This was most unpleasant experience I ever had at any bay area Indian restaurant and it was quite embarrassing as my friend didn't enjoy the lunch and got quite irritated. I will never ever go to this place again!!!

We had a lunch buffet today. They keep sparkling water on all the tables we thought it was included in the buffet. They charged us $7 for that and when I asked they showed me a small print posted on the door of the restaurant. Who keeps warm soda on the table? If I had to pay for it I would ask for chilled one. It is simply malicious intent. Very sneaky. The food was very bad too. All cheap dessert options nothing fancy. I am not going there again. It is a shame as I had high expectations from them. Horrible place. Stay away.

Tasty north indian food.Vegetarian: Dal makhni, hara bhara kabab, yellow dal, saffron rice were pretty good. Oh yeah paneer was very soft in the paneer curry.Non vegetarian: Goat curry, chicken tikka, chicken curry had a decent taste. All meats were nicely cooked.Dessert: Kheer and seviyan were actually good. We liked the fact that it had a subtle sweetness. They also have chaats and raita available.

We went as a group from work team lunch. It was not busy and we had buffet. I also got chai which was surprisingly very good and very hot(like it should be). I would definitely go here again.

Have tried the restaurant a few times, they have a great tandoori platter. Even their veggie platter is awesome. Very nice well lit ambience and halls for hosting parties.

One of the worst Indian restaurants I have been to. The mutton rogan josh was terrible, sunheri chicken was the worst dish ever and the food was microwaved . Do not order the gajar ka halwa at any cost, it was not fresh and quite rotten.

Went there on 12/14 in the afternoon. Poor table receptionist experience. I just asked him if I we could switch the table, and he rudely said that there are none available and to sit where we were assigned. I mean, he could have said it politely also.In short, I did not eat here.

Horrible experience! We have been to the lunch buffet. The automatic addition of gratuity in the bill and the unnecessary attitude of the guy at the front ripped off the intention to feel contented with not so bad items.Wonder why they felt gratuity is obvious for a buffet, lol!If you could ignore the stares of waiters, “the guy at the front”, and the hospitality overall, you could probably be satisfied with the buffet.

Buffet not recommended for vegetarians. Paneer is the most liked element in vegetarian buffets. They had one paneer dish in the buffet and very few pieces. I got three or four small cubes which is had look for in the paneer kadhai.Underwhelming vegetarian spread. Not sure if we have options for naan but plain naan was the only option. Most places with buffet spread give me options for bread (at least butter naan )I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Good. The food is a little salty. The waiter gave me my bread 30 minutes into my lunch. Waited the longest there.A little expensive.
