Very good food. Ordered 1 shrimp teriyaki and 1 beef and shrimp teriyaki. They were both delicious and well cooked. The lines can be a bit long but worth the wait. I wouldn’t say it’s exceptional of a place.

Now, as i write this review, I'd like you to know that i have not yet been to Japana or any part of Asia but Sarku Japan's Teriyaki chicken has to be one of the best i have had. It also helps that ever since I was a teen, there was an awesome super friendly employee by the name of Strawberry who used to give out samples of the chicken all the time. The chicken is always fresh and hot, and the price point is still fair compared to the rising cost of food in the bay area....

When I say chicken teriyaki, Sarku Japan is the model. I don’t come here looking for Japanese authenticity, but rather their delicious take on chicken teriyaki. I’ve been coming here since the 2010s and is still visiting every so often. Great price for the portion and amount of chicken I receive! I recommend the default chicken teriyaki box with extra chicken. Always a delicious meal with a hint of nostalgia. Recommend!
