I have, in the past, ordered from doordash from this restaurant and wanted to call to see if they still have the whole chicken soup so I can go in for it. I called the first time, lady said hi in korean, and when I started speaking in English, in the midst of my sentence I just got hung up on. I called again thinking maybe connection issue, and same lady picked up, I said Hi do you speak English? She said no. I asked again to double make sure, and she again repeated no. So it seems she hung up on me because she couldn’t speak English. It doesn’t feels very welcoming to customers.

Came here after a long day at work. Eunsook is SUPER DUPER nice and kind. Best customer service I ever received in a long time. The food is delicious as always and price is on point. Will always come back even if it's outta my way.

Tasty, open early and late. For me, it's the best Korean bone soup and fish soup place in the South Bay. My mother, who was visiting from Korea, approved this place, too. There used to be some food taste issue in the past, but the taste got improved significantly recently in late 2023 early 2024.

Coming from a Korean. Seoul Gomtang is my weekly go-to for Korean food, offering both delivery and dine-in options. Their menu shines with traditional soups, especially the Gomtang and Naengmyeon, which are must-tries. I personally vouch for both their Bibim Naengmyeon and Naengmyeon - they're simply outstanding and among the best choices for Korean food in the area. It's straightforward and unpretentious, exactly what you'd anticipate from a genuine Korean eatery. Gom Tang is so good when you are feeling under the weather from the night out or something else. Parking can get annoying due to the small size but that's California for ya. Totally recommend it.

Seoul Gom Tang is our favorite go to place after a weekend sauna. It's a traditional grandma food that we crave for. Service is excellent and attentive along the warm atmosphere. They bring plenty of side dishes (panchan), which are always very fresh. Their specialty is soups (tang). We highly recommend chadolbagi (#1) and dogani (#3, a tendon soup which is very good for your skin). The soup is served in traditional stone pots. By the way most of other customers are Koreans, which is a tale-tale sign that this is a really good restaurant.

I have been wanting to try gom tang forever, and we finally made the trip to santa clara to try it. There are a few different gom tang places in the bay but we were in Santa Clara already. I ordered the sukeo gomtang ( gomtang with intestines ) , and we also got the spicy chicken. The banchan here is great, kimchi, green onion, and radish are all super tasty and fresh. They give you scissors to cut the banchan with. The gom tang came out faster than the spicy chicken. The chicken was sizzling and hot. I really enjoyed my gom tang !!! There was so much flavor and essence in the soup. You can tell the soup is simmered for a long time because it gelatinized pretty quickly when we took it home. The ladies who work here don't seem to speak much English, but more than enough to understand and take our order. They were friendly and welcoming and also helped me to pack my soup to go.

I'm not a big soup person, but this is definitely one of my go-to Korean restaurant in South Bay. I highly recommend this place if you are craving gom-tang and want something that is warm. I like how they serve the food without any salt, so you can season however you want. The quality of the meat inside the soup is pretty good and everything goes well with the kimchi that they provide as sides.

This place has the BEST Hae Jang Guk!!! And their side dishes were really good too. Most Korean Restaurants only have "ok" side dishes. But this place was one of best I've ever had. You gotta ty this place!!!

The oxtail soup was not bad, but got cold fast and they charged $1.50 cash only for a take out container for my oxtail soup ($1) and rice ($0.50). It felt like paying for luggage on a budget flight lol, left a bad taste. It would be better to just build these expenses into the cost of their dishes, especially since most patrons will expect to pay via credit cards or phones.

Cute mom and pop type of restaurant. Service started off slow but once we got going the food order came fast. Food was good so we would definitely give them another try. Best kimchi I had in a long time. Only photo I took was of the friend dumplings but we also had the beef Bulgogi and bibimbap. Four stars bc the food we ordered along with the complimentary kimchi was good. At first we felt out of place and the servers didn't seem to care or notice it was our first time, so communication on their part was lacking. I had to keep asking for service. That's why I took off a star. Side note - the parking is horrible here and super packed! I was lucky to find street parking after four loops around the parking lot.

Reading some of the bad reviews got me annoyed af. A few things to point out: - This spot is a pretty authentic local's spot, you should expect non-Americanized service and food. I think the ladies here are nice as hell, but their English might not be the best, so manage your own expectations. I'd say a couple levels up from dim sum service vibes. - Traditional Korean beef/bone broth soup comes unseasoned so you add salt and green onions to YOUR liking. Reading the reviews below and I'm so annoyed at the uncultured idiots giving this spot 1 star bc it's "bland". Just go eat at the mall bro - The food is consistent and fire, but I'd definitely stick to their specialty, which is beef bone broth soup and it's several variations on the menu. Don't go to a spot that's famous for their pizza and complain about their salad. (FYI--their donkatsu, kimchee stew + other soups are pretty good too IMO)
