Sizzling Pot House (鼎香砂锅馆)

Have lunch with a friend at this restaurant based on a recommendation. The portions of the food are quite good but there is no Wow factor in the taste. Also, note that the mild spicy level of the food may still be a bit too strong for those who are not used to having spicy food. However, as the price of the food is reasonable, this restaurant is definitely worth coming again to explore the other dishes on its menu.

The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly—no complaints at all about the dishes or the service.

The only issue was safety-related: the pot the dish came in was extremely hot, and I burned my hand from briefly touching it. I believe there was a warning on the electronic menu, but it’s easy to miss or forget. It would really help if staff could give a quick reminder when serving, and/or use a sleeve/trivet or let the pot cool slightly before bringing it out.

I hope the owner sees this and addresses it, since it could be especially dangerous for kids. I’m happy to remove or update this review once the issue is fixed.

Used to love the food here, but recently their chicken thigh dropped in quality - tasted like meat frozen for years. Hope they can bring back the old quality.

Ordered takeout, and pickup went smoothly. My bf and I ordered the golden chili rice noodle and the rattan pepper rice noodle - both were flavorful and delicious but we enjoyed the rattan pepper one a little more. They give a TON of noodles but are a bit light on the toppings. Overall, still a delicious and comforting meal.

This casserole is really good! The flavor is just right, not too salty or spicy! The side dishes and desserts are also good! In short, I highly recommend it!

We were sat down quickly and the servers were really attentive. We ordered through a QR code and the food came out quickly. The portions were filling with a side and a dessert. Will be back next time for sure!

The food exceeded our expectations, the portions were generous, the meat was well cooked, and the veggies were just right (albeit very hot). Our server was friendly as well.
