TTobongee Chicken @ Santa Clara

The waiter was very rude to my friend and I. When we arrived we weren't offered water or anything. Initially we thought that maybe they simply didn't offer water and we had to order it ourselves yet when other clients would arrive the waiter would immediately bring them water along with cups. We found this odd but didn't think too much of it but the service worsened. While my friend and I were barely halfway way through our meal the waiter threw the check onto our table and walked off. They kept on looking at at us and the second we placed the money on the check the waiter snatched it immediately. The waiter was very passive aggressive. We have a feeling that we were treated this way as we were the only non Koreans in that restaurant. Its very much a shame since the food was quite enjoyable but we will not be going back again.

Customer service definitely need more improvement, I would rather get served by robot to tip them better

A delicious experience here at TTobongee Chicken! I was very surprised to have such a wonderful experience trying this style of fried chicken and let me just say it did not disappoint. We ordered 1/2 Combo of Fried Chicken with Jalapeño Sauce and Honey Sauce along side shrimp fried rice and sodduk sodduk. Will be added to my regular date night spot for fried chicken cravings!

Previously I said bb.q Chicken at Apple Park was the best Korean Fried Chicken in the Bay Area. But I think either Ttobongee is the new king or it's a tie. ?

Recently I was watching a Kdrama and Ttobongee product placed their chicken in it and convinced me to try their thinner batter chicken. Nice product placement though it doesn't matter how many times Subway does product placement, I won't go. ?

At Ttobongee we ordered:
Ttobongee Chicken - half, wings and drums ??
Yang Nyum Chicken - half, drums ??
Crispy Chicken - half, wings ??
Jja Jang Myun - double ?

It was a pleasant surprise that a chicken place had Jja Jang Myun which was pretty good.

All three chickens were very good. Two people liked the Yang Nyum the best and one person liked the Crispy the best.

Overall, considering the quality of the fried chicken and the variety on the menu I think we may have found our new favorite Korean Fried Chicken establishment. ?

Vegetarian options: Shouldn't go to a chicken place looking for vegetarian options.
