I have been dining at La Cocina for years and it's always great Mexican food. I love the chips and salsa as some places nowadays don't offer them for free! My go to is always the Chile Relleno and it never disappoints. The food is not THE ABSOLUTELY BEST MEXICAN IVE EVER HAD but it's a great option for when you are craving Mexican. I'd definitely recommend trying them out. The enchiladas are always delicious as well.

I'm very saddened by the decline in what we've always considered our neighborhood gem. After close to 20 years of memories, great drinks and food, it's time to move on. The quality and authenticity of the food has declined, our favorite waiters have moved to competing restaurants, and the young woman who now works the register/ front door is rude and lacks basic customer service skills.

This once great restaurant has taken a turn for the worse since being under new management. After 17 years of enjoying LaCo it's time to move on. I had a couple of bad dining experiences there lately, but kept making up excuses for them thinking maybe they just had an off night. However, the continued drastic decline in service, quality of their food, and the utter rudeness of the woman who works the front door/register (presumably the new owner) has left me with no desire to return. I'm not surprised that a lot of the staff who I have become friendly with over the years have left and are working elsewhere. I look forward to seeing them at Patrons, Madre, and other restaurants around town. ¡Adiós, La Cocina!

Food good, service good, small but you don't feel cramped once you're seated. Parking is not the best

Really good food, enough said. Oh wait, the Chile Rellenos are very good. Their mole sauces are also worth trying.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the SCV. We've been coming here for over 25 years and it's always consistently good. They have the best margaritas, fajitas and crunchy tacos. The waiters and girls at the front are always sweet and friendly. This is the smaller location but is super cozy with red booths. Come early or make reservations as they are always packed.

Hands down, one of the best Mexican restaurants in SCV. Happy hour fiesta with the margaritas and beers on special. Try the enchiladas with pineapple on top with cream sauce, you will not be disappointed.

Still my favorite salsa and chips in the SCV after 35 years. You can't go wrong with any of the locations.
