Placed our order. 30 minutes in, we went to check up on it, and they said it wasn't on their system! I call bullsh*t Had to reorder and when we got the food, the Kare-Kare only had 3 pieces of meat inside smh. Won't be ordering from here anytime soon. Mid asf!

Love the food. Should order/pre-order early or you run the chance of them not having anymore. A little pricey, though.

Friendly and accommodating, selection of Filipino food is great , fast service and has a Filipino market close to it

I ordered Thanksgiving bundle for $75. The web site ad looks good but the serving is too small amount. The Kare-kare has only one oxtail meat and the rest are sauce and small veggies. The whole chicken is too small, good for two person. The canton is terrible , looks like the one you can buy in the ready to cook packets, only 2 -3 shrimps and I cannot see any veggies. The crispy pata is no good , salty and not tender. I ask for Mang Tomas sauce but they are charging me extra. The waiting time was 30 minutes. The to go container is a carton box, no class at all. The price is not worth the food and the serving. I will not recommend this Max restaurant express. It is not the same as the Glendale Max restaurant. The food is expensive for an express restaurant. I called them back to complain about my order , for there is only one meat in my kare kare but no one was answering the call. I was very frustrated for my Thanksgiving meal. ???. 0 star

I have been seeing this place every time I go to the market. Why not give it a try. I ordered their famous Max's Fried Chicken and Pancit Canton. They were both piping hot when I received it. Smells so good!! But the Chicken was over cooked and dry. The Pancit Canton, the chicken in it was super dry and hard, the dish itself was very salty. Service was good though. I didn't mind the extra minute of wait, I thought it would be worth it. Oh well. At least I tried their food. Might be the first and last though.

Awful service. Called in an order. Was told it will be ready in 15 mins. Came in 20 mins later and was told they never started the food order. Waited another 20 mins for the order. Then the lady ringing up charged us extra for achara (which we never asked) and initially insisted on not giving us the extra sauces that we did ask for and paid for. Please, Max's, train your personnel. It seems like they don't know what they're doing. The lady did not know what to press on the cash register and void charges, had to call in two other people to help her but they, too, couldn't figure it out. For a Max's EXPRESS, there was nothing fast or express about our experience. Just paying at the cash register takes at least 15 minutes (when there was no other customer there!)

Ok Max's this is really rediculous. We ordered online today 4/9 at 11:15. I called at 11:35 and spoke with a Marcus and just want to verify if our order is in because the last time we did order it never arrived. Marcus told me the Food is ready and waiting for the driver( third party ) to arrive at 11:56. At 11:50 I got a call from a driver and told me he is at Max but the food is not ready. I called and spoke to Marcus again and asked him where the order that you said was ready at 11:35. Marcus told me it was given to another customer since the driver was not there yet and now there is no food for the driver to pick up. What kind of Business are you guys conducting there? This is the second time it happened. First time I dealt with a Steve and now a Marcus. We want to patronize Filipino business but the way Max is conducting business you might as well close this store. No wonder you are very slow when we pass by your place! Bad bad bad customer service!!!!!! Filipino will always run business like a Filipino! Sad

Their food is consistent. It's the same every time we order. Always delicious! But we might not come here anymore because they're opening one in my city!

Friendly counter staff. Quick. Has plenty of seating shared among various establishments inside a Filipino grocery store. Food was just, ok. I got Max's half chicken meal. Pretty pricey for the amount of food I received. I was uninspired by the chicken and the rice seemed too dry. None of it was terrible. None of it was stellar either. Somewhere between a 2 and 3 star so I rounded up. Support local.

Ordered chicken, kare kare, lumpia and crispy pata through the online app and it confirmed the order as received by the restaurant. I arrived 20 minutes later and I was told by the lady that she just received the order. She says it will take 15 minutes to get the order. I was fine with it, because it is worth the wait.Got home and the crispy pata was not crispy at all but rubber like skin. I believe she rushed the frying to compensate for the lost time. I got a double disappointment by waiting longer and getting a not crispy pata. Please cook it right even if it takes longer.

They are great when they are open! I'm told that many of the little shops in this courtyard are owned by the same owner and he can only open as many as he has staff to do so. Therefore, sometimes Max's is open and sometimes it isn't.I always get the same thing. I get the crispy pasta and the garlic rice. They do it very well and it's made to order so it comes out piping hot. It's a small menu but there are quite a few little treasures to enjoy. The pictures attached are my crispy Pata and a large order of garlic rice. It's a 24 minute cook time on the crispy Pata so if you are in a hurry you can call in advance and They will drop it for you once you place your phone order. They are well known for their fried chicken. But I haven't tried it yet. Remember, I always get the crispy Pata. When I was a kid my dad talked about maxes all the time and really wanted to take us kids there. I'm so happy there's a Max's express near me so I can get a small taste of the place my dad loves so very much! What is your favorite thing to order here? Looking for suggestions.

Delicious fried chicken, just the way I remember it back in the Philippines. I ordered a whole chicken to go today for lunch, and they had it ready for me in less than 10 minutes! The skin was crispy and the meat was juicy and flavorful. The chicken came with two containers of banana ketchup and it came in a folded cardboard takeout box, but they purposely left the side flaps open so the chicken skin doesn't get soggy. Overall, great service and delicious food!Pro-tip: Call ahead if you're in a hurry or hangry.

I would say they have the best Crispy Pata and Kare Kare in the entire Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valley! The Pata is flavorful and tender. The crispy skin is the best, with whole black peppers attached to the skin sometimes. It is apparent that the pata is cooked with enough salt and aromatics. Their Kare Kare is so much better than Barrio Fiesta. It has tiny ox-tail pieces, tripe and beef meat. Staff are cordial. Parking is sometimes hard. This is my favorite spot for CP and KK. They also have a modest price comparing to Pink Salt and Barrio Fiesta.
