It was our first time visiting, and the service was awesome. From the moment we entered, we were greeted, assisted with placing our orders and the food was delightful 😊. I ordered the shrimp plate with mac- n -chesse, red beans, and rice, which were very flavourful & seasoned to perfection. My hubby ordered the pork chop meal with yams and mac -n- cheese & a dinner roll. Both plates were definitely appetizing to the taste buds. Banana pudding for dessert added the finishing touches. We will definitely be back and refer others. We highly recommend M-GF it will keep u going back. Best regards, Youlanda Jasmine-Jones

The idea of a virtual kitchen situation is new to me but this place is very good the catfish was the shinning star. I got the catfish plate with the baked beans and collard greens. The collard greens were a bit lacking in flavor but the catfish more than made up for it! It was crispy ,flavorful, and an appropriate portion!

Hi there I've had a lot of southern food before and a few places. Let's start with my catfish fried perfectly nice and crunchy, it was nicely seasoned. My Mac and cheese was very cheesy but I don't particularly care for the shell pasta I felt it was a little overcooked. Not very much seasoning either just cheesy. The rice and gravy was good but the gravy was unseasoned a little bland. Now the collard greens I don't know what's going on with those but it tasted like it could have been good but there's a really nasty aftertaste very bitter not sure what happened there but I didn't enjoy them much but after taste just took over everything and it was really nasty all in all I give did a three out of five. Please fix your collard greens cuz it could have been a real tasty meal. I definitely will not be paying $40 again well the portions were large someone should be tasting their greens to make sure they don't taste nasty like that. Normal places you get a nice soul food plate for under $20. I asked them for lemon with some of my catfish and they gave me lime so I didn't really understand that. I'm not sure if anybody's tasting the food but collards shouldn't taste like that. And gravy should be seasoned. You normally get a piece of cornbread with your meal but I was given a roll which I didn't really care for I like to eat my cornbread with my collards. Portion sizes were great. Thanks so much
Include the scv hub, which is a virtual food hall. Nice music while you wait for your food. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Great food. I like that you can quickly dine in or eat outside, or order to go. There is someone always there to assist you. I wish they had a drink menu to go with food. I did not see one when I ordered. Sweet tea would be great. 😁

Exceptional food with exceptional service! Had the pleasure of watching Jackie Long doing his food review on them! Knew I had to get some after that!

I feel bad writing this review since the food is alright, but I ordered at 4 PM, didn't get the food until 5:50PM. Unacceptable. I was there to pick up at 5:10 PM (estimated Doordash time). And good thing I checked my food since they forgot the Cornbread. Just go to Fish Bone in Woodland Hills. You're welcome.

Wow! I had the fried Swai, Mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and everything was amazing!
The fried fish is cooked to order and was simply amazing. Ordered the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes and they were equally as high quality. What a hidden gem.

Stopped by on a Sunday night and spent $21 on five tenders and fries. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The tenders were bland and lacked seasoning, and the fries were not as pictured—plain and unremarkable. While they did have BBQ sauce, there were no BBQ items on the menu, only fried chicken, which felt misleading given the expectations.
Considering the high ratings, I was expecting much more. Honestly, if I wanted chicken Raising Cane’s would have been a better option for half the cost. I came hoping for some authentic southern food, but this completely missed the mark.

Came here on a Sunday night. Spent $29 for 6 tenders, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler. The cashier guy said the chicken is made to order so it takes a while, we waited about 20 minutes for the food to come out.
The chicken was unseasoned and not juicy. Mac and cheese was pretty good, but it was very greasy (oil at the bottom of the container). Peach cobbler was just mush and very bland. I was incredibly surprised and disappointed because this place has very high ratings. The Mac and cheese and peach cobbler were served in plastic containers that were definitely reheated in a microwave. I got buffalo sauce and bbq sauce. Both were very generic, nothing special/homemade. I would recommend going to Raising Canes over this. It’ll be arguably better for half the cost. Unfortunate as I wanted some real southern food but this was not it.

Food food food. This review is over due! The team at MGF have been nothing but the best each time we've ordered. My personal favorite is the Mac and cheese. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some good family food.

Ok, we stopped here to pick up some collard greens for an event and decided to try some additional sides (the photos of the mac and cheese and red beans and rice looked good). The location is in a food court. It’s a place with a few benches and a really cool vibe. and the proprietors are a married couple that put a lot of love in the food. They were very nice and made sure we were taken care of.
The collard greens were spectacular. They were vegan (you had an option to have them with meat). The Mac and cheese was top 5 best Mac and cheese’s I’ve had. You can tell they made it from scratch. The red beans and rice were flavored perfectly.
Any time I’m driving to LA from Central California, I’m stopping there. If you want to experience soul food, you HAVE to go here.
