There's a beautiful flag by a tree at the top of the canyon. Like an X to mark the spot of buried treasure.

Turn left if you're coming from LA to AV, turn right if you are coming from the other direction.

Turn in here if you're in the mood for phenomenal food, live music and to break bread next to somebody with a beautiful smile, like the regulars here.:)

The house band is playing Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Wonder, Men At Work, all of our favorite 80s tunes on the weekend.

Children are playing. Moms are dancing. Some of us are admiring the old train on display, snapping pictures to share in gratitude with our fellow world travelers.

The service is excellent! Our waitress gave us thoughtful advice and went over the menu with us in detail. Thanks!

The food is a nice mix of American diner classics, hearty barbecue and California cuisine.

Prices are reasonable. Portions are large. The view is the best part. Impeccable from every angle.

I passed this place many times on my canyon drives. I stopped here a few times just to admire the view.

I finally came here recently for dinner with one of my dearest friends. We had so much fun! We took home tasty leftovers and made plans to return as soon as possible. Hopefully, all the time.

I hope we all end up here together someday to enjoy good news, barbeque and the view at River's End.

10/10!! This place is amazing, Outstanding Food, and some many cool things to look at!! Stopped here today with our love stock and We were very impressed. Plenty of room to turn your trailer around. Wish they had some signs off the side of the highway, feel like it would make a difference! Best BBQ spot around with a great place for kids!

This was a surprising find. This barbecue restaurant nestled inside of a RV park was a great location. The food was great. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was very nice. Definitely a place to come back to. My wife and I split the four meat combo platter and everything was wonderful.

This was a great experience. Cute little campground with a great restaurant, we were not there for the live music that they do offer that. Full bar. Very friendly staff and the food was awesome. We had the combo platter with four meats and two sides. I was very pleased that they even had a non-alcoholic beer choice for myself. The servers and staff were extremely friendly. Will definitely be back again when we are in the area!!!

We’ve been long-time guests at Rivers End, and when they first opened, they were incredible! The BBQ was hands-down the best around. But over the past few months, each visit has gotten worse, and this last trip was the final straw.

Last weekend, we went for a friend’s birthday. Right off the bat, the host tried to order for the group, but at 5 p.m. on a weekend, they were already out of most of their best sellers! We ended up ordering a turkey sandwich ourselves. After waiting for an hour and twenty minutes, our food finally arrived—cold. I’m not talking lukewarm, I mean refrigerator-cold. A sandwich and a side of chili that should have been reheated were clearly overlooked.

The biggest disappointment came with the portions. They’ve become wildly inconsistent—sometimes you get a full plate, sometimes it looks like half a meal. Worse, we’ve had experiences where dishes were overcooked and flavorless, especially the lobster. The last time we tried it, the lobster was rubbery and bland, like it had been left on the grill way too long with no seasoning to save it…. Not at all like they advertised in their photos.

The most frustrating part? They smoke and prep everything in advance, so that doesn’t excuse what happened. The meat and sides are pre-made, shoved in a fridge, and forgotten about. When they finally pulled them out, they didn’t even bother to heat them properly.

Our waitress was great, checking in with the kitchen frequently, and she kindly removed the item from our bill when we returned it. She explained it was the kitchen’s first night with a new staff, and they were slammed. Fair enough, but why were the owners sitting around drinking instead of stepping in to help the new team manage the rush?

When we brought our concerns to the main owner, Eric, his response was a disinterested, “Oh, bummer.” That’s when it became clear: if a business no longer cares about its product or customers, it’s the beginning of the end. It’s a sad decline for what used to be a fantastic spot.

Hands down best brisket I have enjoyed in years. You can taste the difference in the meat and smoking process. So many sides are available and they all taste great. The offer ribs, chicken, burgers and even salads. Mountain side location with rustic dinning room or outdoor seating. This place does not disappoint.
