Giant portions and fast service. The people who work at sarku Japan are kind and will help you find you the perfect order. Never have been here since couple of days ago and they helped me pick the best order I've had. I'd highly recommend anyone to come by here to try it

I use to eat a lot at Sarku like 3 -4 times a week until 2 weeks ago, I stopped going there. This is what happened. It was almost closing time and there were 4 people behind the counter. An asian guy at the counter taking orders, an old asian lady serving food, another asian lady cleaning the kitchen and a hispanic guy assisting. I placed my order and waited for my food. So the hispanic guy took the greasy vent filters out, he was wearing gloves. No big deal. However, after setting aside the filters, he then helped out to put rice in the togo plates or boxes then I guess to make the rice look presentable, he flatten the rice with his gloves like shoving it to make them flat and even. He probably thought no one will notice since he's back was facing the customer but I was in an angle that I can see what he was doing and I caught him. And when he turned around to put the orders on to the counter top, he realized I was looking at him and then he grabbed the vents and went inside. I tapped on the partition to catch the old lady's attention but she was busy. Then when they called my number and grabbed my food, I tried to explain to the old lady what just happened but she just nod because I don't think she can't hear me clearly. Anyway my order went straight to the trash bin.

This was not good. After spending 20 minutes waiting for my food, I watched as they packed 2 full scoops of chicken onto each plate. As mine came across the line, they lazily scooped a half scoop of chicken onto my plate. The plate was sad when I finally got it. I took it back and was shocked to find them looking at me like I'm the crazy one. The food itself was the most bland teriyaki bowl I've ever eaten. I put two stars because the food filled me up. That's about it. Never giving them my money again.

How cheap do these owners have to get........So this is the 3rd different style of to go box they've switched to. You can see in their pics on Yelp the box is black and a good size, now the new ones are smaller and white......Food portions are even smaller now, and obviously less food but the PRICE didn't go down.......YOU GUYS ARE RIDICULOUS. And it's amazing when I ask them about it not one person could understand English. Weird!! I will stop eating at this location. Hope your saving of pennies on the dollars is worth it.

Food used to be very good and the staff were polite. Not anymore. Food is overcooked, don't ever think of asking extra sauce like they don't want to give you extra sauce. The staff is rude epecially the woman behind the counter. For that 1 star for the food and 1 Million Negative star for the staff.

I ordered food at the restaurant. Repeated my order twice, no rice please. Double vegggies. When we got home our both orders were wrong with double rice. When I tried to contact the restaurant, fax machine comes on. Very disappointed:(:(

I eat here a lot since I work close by. I like how the service is always excellent and they keep the place well organized regularly. Pricing is fair and they serve big portions.

Ok flavor. Small portion, high price. Sorry but I don't think it's worth it. Been to other Japanese style mall type food that's been wayyyy better.
