Didn’t feel like driving into town for my birthday (the big party was planned for another day in Marina Del Rey), so we decided to keep it simple and have a nice, quiet early dinner at the speakeasy at Sidecar. I’ve always been curious about this spot, and to my surprise, it’s actually Santa Clarita’s very first speakeasy… how cool is that?
We’ve been loyal fans of their sister restaurant next door for years …it’s our go-to for breakfast, brunch, or dinner … so trying Sidecar felt like the perfect next step. And wow… what a great choice! The cocktails were excellent. They made my Old Fashioned exactly the way I like it, and my partner loved their gin and tonics. The servers were absolutely wonderful (I feel so bad I forgot their names!) and made the evening feel extra special.
The vibe is warm, cozy, and stylish … perfect for a relaxed night out. Honestly, it was such a sweet way to kick off my birthday celebrations. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Everything was fine, except for a chubby girl with brown hair and yellow highlights who angrily tried to serve us. She didn't offer us lemon or salt. We were customers, and they didn't serve us until it was time to leave, and they even took our drinks away.

Incredible experience. From the moment we sat down to our departure, we were treated First-class The stuff was super friendly and polite. This location I didn't know existed, it's a must visit. The food and drinks are First-Class. Culinary at its best. Outstanding flavors. Food heaven even though it's small menu. The cocktails are impressive. Came on a Whisky day tasting which I did not about. Hidden gem in Old Town.

This speakeasy experience was wonderful! We received a short history lesson about the place before entering. I loved my Tickle My Tiki cocktail because it was strong and full of pineapple flavor! We ordered the Cali Nachos and Ahi Tuna Bowl. The Acapulco cocktail was sweet and the Sneaky Hibiki was strong. I appreciate the service of the friendly servers :)
