First time trying them, my expectations were high but I give them 2 stars they are not what I expected, the meat is tough and the sauce is very tasteless, I'm sorry!!

I never right reviews but I feel I had to this time.I was so disappointed this year with their service and tamales.First of all I placed a order for 6 dozen ,then I called 3 days later to change my order to 71/2 dozen .Someone called me 2 days later to confirm my changes. They where correct. When I picked my order up ,I realized when I got home it was wrong .It was my original order placed.I was very upset.Then after a few hours I get a call from them that my order was ready for pick up.I told them I already picked it up and it was wrong and that I wasn't going to drive from the valley again.They had two orders for me. All they said was I'm sorry. Tamales where very dry and mostly masa! I will not be returning there again!

Last year for Christmas we pre-ordered tamales de Chicharrón and they ended up giving it to another customer. This year we ordered again for Christmas and let me just say the tamales I got from Costco were better, and are $18 cheaper. The quality of Tamales Express was horrible and disappointing. They were SO dry, had no moisture and falling apart. Probably overwhelmed with Holiday orders that they're cutting corners. Not worth $36 a dozen.

The tamales had more masa in it than the cheese with jalapeño?The tamales tasted salty and dry. Can’t believe I got a whole dozen! I don’t usually like to say negative things about restaurants, but I spent over 50 bucks for 18 tamales and a champurrado. Won’t be going back.

Went this morning in the rain, the lady was so sweet and kind. I purchased 10 tamales, different types. Great size and wonderful flavor. For Canyon Country I highly recommend this establishment.
I ordered a dozen of tamales and I went to eat one and there was a piece of hair cooked into the middle of the tamale. Really disgusted by that I was hoping to have a good experience.

I remember coming to this place when it first opened. Up until last night, I just remember why I had not returned since then!! The Tamales are terrible!! With that being said, I'm hoping the owner/cook reads this review, because it's more of a critique than a bash!Let me start with the flavor/taste, it's not bad. But, that's where the good part ends.The masa is too chunky, almost granulated, like the corn was not grounded down enough. The masa falls apart into crumbs and not easy to eat with a fork. Also, The tamales are on the edge of dry.The filling to masa ratio is way off!! TOO MUCH MASA, so little filling.Lastly, the cheese you use does not soften up when heated, and almost resembles tofu. If you correct these issues, I think you could have a good product and very happy customers. I can't say I'll be back anytime soon.

The masa is dry, maybe they did a mass quantity so they left out some ingredients to the masa, had some during the year that were good so I was disappointed this holiday.
Tamales are delicious but the lady she is always in a bad mood.. I come here pretty often I already came to get tamales I'm right outside of the restaurant.. she have always bad attitude my own experience.. some day there was an American lady and she was talking pretty nice with her.. when I try said good morning to her she never answered me.. so my question she is a racist? Or is just because she is in usa she is nice with American people only..I don't like her attitude..So none stars to the business till she change her attitude...

Haven’t been in the restaurant, but I was at a little league football game at Saugus High School and they had a tent setup. I bought two tamales and I should have bought more. So delicious and at an amazing price. Definitely a fan moving forward!❤️

Best tamales in all of Santa Clarita Valley and San Fernando Valley. Juicy, filling, flavorful - as close to homemade like my tia and abuelita used to make when I was young. We'll pick some up for parties or coworkers and they're always always a hit. Never left overs. Trust me. Remember me. And say, "orale!" when you take the first bite. Mwah You're welcome
