My favorite restaurant in Santa Clarita! We celebrate all our birthdays & anniversaries there.

We made a reservation for The Social to celebrate my Birthday. We asked for a booth with our reservation and I was happy we had a booth. The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. We both ordered Filet Mignon and Lobster tails. The portions were very generous and the food was outstanding. Our waitress topped off the wonderful meal with the tastiest cake.

Great place for great food and service to match. Wide selection of cocktails and good variety of food all of which was wonderful

This was our first time dining at The Social. When we walked in the hostess asked if we were “the Jones's” and we said “yes” she immediately acknowledged that they knew it was our anniversary which was wonderful. The restaurant/martini bar is quite lively and full of cool art. All the booths were full so we were seated at a table which was fine. My hubby doesn't drink but I started off with a “ Jolly Rancher Martini” and it tasted just like a watermelon jolly rancher 😀 We started with bacon wrapped scallops, lobster bisque and shared the “ social salad”. All were very tasty. My hubby had their nightly special which was a filet mignon topped with crab with garlic mashed potatoes & sautéed mushrooms and I had shrimp scampi, both were delicious! I also had a “ lemon drop martini” which was good but average. They brought us a crème brûlée with a candle for our celebration ( we ordered desserts to go). The service was excellent , the food & drinks were tasty and the price was right; we'll definitely be back!

Calamari was overcooked. Artichoke was ok but dips were flavorless. Swordfish was pretty good. Waiter dropped off check disappeared. We waited for a needed correction. Overall disappointing.

The Social is a neighborhood favorite. We dine there before going to the Canyon Theater in old town Newhall. Extensive menu, always prepared and presented with care. Full bar and known for its martinis.

I ordered Filet Mignon Béarnaise medium-rare. What I got was something between medium and well done. Unacceptable.

Food was outstanding - we went all Italian. Calamari, baked penne and spaghetti bolognese. Our drink were T. Soprano, Dirty Deeds and a Cab by the glass - all superb as well. My only complaint is that, though indicated in my reservation and stated when sitting down, there was no candle on the dessert we ordered and it was not comped out. I'll still go back for the outstanding pasta.

We were seated right away and our waitress Ashley was great. There was so many dishes on the menu , I found it hard to decide. My wife had shrimp with angel hair pasta and I had chicken Marsala over angel hair pasta. The portions were very generous and very tasteful. We topped it off with a delicious chocolate mousse. I recommend this restaurant highly. We will return and try the different meals on the menu.

The Social in Santa Clarita has consistently provided us with great dining experiences. We have always enjoyed our visits here, with delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasant ambiance. One area with room for improvement is the filet mignon, which we found to be tough and chewy on our last visit. However, this was a minor hiccup in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. The service at The Social is consistently excellent. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always ensures that we have an enjoyable time. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable, making it a great place to dine and unwind. Overall, The Social offers a wonderful dining experience with great food, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Despite a minor issue with the filet mignon, we look forward to returning and enjoying more memorable meals.

The Social has an unassuming exterior and was not immediately obvious. Inside it's quite pleasant, with a small bar partially partitioned from the main dining room. The lighting was just a bit too bright for a truly romantic ambiance but about right to appeal to the general public. We both had salads which turned out to be surprisingly delicious- honestly, one of the best I've ever had. I had the onion soup and that, too, was delicious and extraordinary flavorful. She had a martini and said that the balance of components was perfect. Our server Chelsea was superb: friendly and attentive (but not hovering) service. In fact we stayed until after they closed and the staff were cleaning up around us but no one ever murmured a word about the inconvenience; Chelsea acted like we were their guests and could stay as long as we wished. (Afterwards I regretted leaving only 20% tip.) Our experience at The Social was first rate. It's not the fanciest place but they make the most of the place they've got, the food is delicious, the martinis are perfect, and the service is superb. This place is a hidden gem.
