If you call yourself a breakfast/brunch place with dishes which has Mexican in the name, its gotta be at least seasoned well.Unfortunately, not the case. Forget about the spice but the food was lacking Salt. The quantity of the food does not match with the price. Won't be going back there anymore. Plenty of other options in SCV fortunately.Bye Bye Thelma's

Wonderful little breakfast/brunch restaurant that we've started making it our 'usual' as part of our weekends. Eggs made every way and a great selection of omelets. Cowboy biscuits and gravy are delicious. All made to order in perfectly sized kitchen, not noisy and easy to have an enjoyable conversation. Coffee keeps flowing (no lattes) and juice available.

Thelma’s Cafe is really a gem in Santa Clarita! So much so that I drive out from the San Fernando Valley! The food is delicious. The quality in the ingredients is undeniable, the presentation is impeccable and the prices are great. The owners and the staff are also extremely friendly - Ronnie in particular. I highly recommend this place!

Invited by a friend to eat here while spending a weekend together and was disappointed the moment our plates arrived. The plates themselves were the type you would see in a fine dining dinner restaurant when this is a cafe. The portions on the plates were kid's menu sizes although they were gourmet priced. Everything was literally sized and shaped, literally. The hashbrowns, which were overcooked and tasteless, were paper thin and sized the same shape as the spatula probably used to cook them. It was half the portion you get at other breakfast restaurants but at a higher price. The adult pancakes were small as a teacup saucer and paper thin. They also cut my biscuit in half and grilled it on the griddle used to cook everything else when I didn't ask them to do that. Anyone who knows anything about biscuits you didn't order as biscuits and gravy knows to serve the biscuit whole and fluffy. Not hard and crispy tasting like kitchen grease. I would have asked our server for another one but she wasn't the best on service or personality. She also nearly dropped our food a couple of times on top of us without an apology, (my friend literally had to catch a plate of food before it landed on our heads). The inside is darker with low lighting and not much window light. Not bad for hot days, but not really a breakfast feel either. Outside looked nice but they didn't really have enough chairs for a group of 5 to sit together.I could see why this place wasn't like a lot of other great breakfast places with a crowd of customers. I don't know where Thelma was but she definitely wasn't serving up any breakfast cafe style plates and was more bistro than anything.

Their version of huevos rancheros was just laughable. No flavor. Salsa didn't taste like actual salsa. House made potatos were likely frozen. Food looks better than it taste.

Ordered take out. 2 panini’s, and 1 crepe (banana and strawberry). One panini was supposed to come with tomatoes but didn’t have any, and the side salad was only lettuce. Nothing else at all. That’s not a salad? Also the crepe did not have strawberries, but cinnamon covered bananas instead. That is not what I ordered. Tried to call but no one answered, and when I drove over there, they had just closed. Very dissatisfied.

Two out of the four servers are awesome. One is kooky, and the other isn't any better. They mean well, but not my cup of tea.

The staff was excellent but the food incredibly mediocre. We were hoping this could be our new go to breakfast spot but we won’t be back anytime soon. The food was very bland. I had the hash browns, Belgian waffle, bacon and eggs. My husband had an omelette that was also bland. We had gone to egg plantation the week prior and that place blew this place away. Also the inside could use some better decor. The ambience is lackluster.
