Tokai Sushi

The sushi and rolls were fresh and delicious. The restaurant was not completely "full," but we had to get on a waitlist for about half an hour for a party of 3. Perhaps they were understaffed. Although the rolls are on the pricey side, they honor a 30% discount on all "premium" rolls, including fresh, baked, and 'no rice' rolls. Overall, it was a positive experience. However, we were misled by yelp to think this was an AYCE establishment. Will likely return.

Fabulous affordable sushi. The portions were large, making every plate enough to share. I met my BFF at Tokai Sushi for the first time. We will be coming there again and again.

I live in the heart of the SFV, so it was a 25-mile drive one way, but well worth it. The food was delicious and we had such a good time dining here!

Excellent sushi. I mean, wow. I didn't go there hungry, so I'm not inflating my estimation because of that. I'm a nigiri snob these days, so I don't know how the rolls are, but the fish is extremely well chosen and prepared. The best Albacore, Salmon Belly, and Yellowtail Belly I have had so far. I'm sorry that I'm just visiting here so that I can't make this my regular sushi place.

Excelente Customer Service provided by Jake he is wonderful helpful and knowledgeable, great place to eat but the advertising of the pictures of the food is not the same as posted in their instagram or other social media pages, rolls are way smaller and fewer quantity than pictures or videos!!! Great offers yes !!!

This place was seriously a vibe! The sushi was crazy fresh—like, melt-in-your-mouth good. The restaurant was super clean, the service was on point, and even the parking was a major win. If you’re into fresh sushi and chill vibes, you gotta check it out!

If you happen to order from a server there, make sure to double-check that your order has been properly placed. Among the four dishes we ordered, three came out in a reasonable amount of time, but one took an unusually long time to arrive. (We were dining during a non-busy period.) She didn’t check on us at any point during the meal to see if everything was okay.

I had no choice but to flag down another server who was passing by to let them know that one of our dishes still hadn’t arrived. He went to the kitchen and came back, saying it was being prepared and asked us to wait. After yet another long wait, the dish finally came out, but she didn’t offer any apology for the delay. It was likely that she missed the order, but no one apologized, and one of us was left hungry for a long time and couldn’t enjoy the dish in the end (especially since it didn’t even taste good).

She needs to practice double-checking orders when taking them, checking on her tables mid-meal, and apologizing when there are service mistakes. We left a reasonable tip, but I wouldn’t want to return.

Had good service here before, looks like they are done with that. Went in to place a Togo order, waitress refused to take my order, walked away from the counter, and returned to let me know the wait would be too long. I asked if she was asking that I not eat there, the idiotic expression told me the quality has slipped far enough that service is now having to be altered.

Was hungry craving sushi didn't realize how late it was. The amazing staff made an exception to get me some rice. Me so soup and a drink ten ten above and beyond absolutely recommend

Their sushi is pretty awesome, fresh and well done. The chefs are actually Japanese, who are very experienced and experts at their craft. Here you taste the fish as you’re suppose to, vs tasting rice. They’re not cheap with their fish neither. My favorite 2 rolls are the baked salmon roll and the wagyu truffle oil roll… oh man! So good and tasty! Umami and delicious! This place is a hidden gem! My go to spot for sushi now! And I’m not even from around the area! Prices are right too, how can you not love this place!

My #1 sushi favorite spot in Cali now! Great experience as I am sitting here listening to them speak Japanese to each other as well. Not to forget, the chefs are friendly and very well mannered. Awesome place! Period!

The wagyu truffle roll is out of this world 🤯 I also loved their AMON roll, but WARNING ⚠️ the habanero sauce slaps 😂 🔥 🚒🥵 overall I would definitely come back! Great service and great sushi 👌

Probably the best value for the price for sushi in the SCV. It may not be as fancy as what some may consider the top notch spot in town, but it's a much better bang for your buck. Think SCV expectations for SCV prices versus LA prices for slightly higher SCV expectations.

They have your typical standard and fancy rolls, including a solid rolls happy hour. The rice quality is good enough and doesn't take away from the nigiri. My go-to is the lunch special omakase for $26.99. Chef's choice of nigiri that does change from time to time. The slices of fish are generous and its a good mix of variety from standard to medium+. I believe the dinner version is more expensive but you'll be going up a tier in more premium neta.

If I had to stay in the SCV for sushi, this is my usual spot. If I were to have a special occasion meal I might consider the other place. But then again if it was a special occasion I'd probably be dining outside of the SCV.

First time having their food and we enjoyed it a lot! I must say their bulgogi & salmon are so good! We will order here from now on!

Update: If you you’re in a hurry it’s going to take you 1 hour and 30 minutes to get your order.

I ordered at 12:30 and according to the online pending time. It’s going to be done at 2:16pm.

The food is good but it would be better if the food gets served earlier.
