We always order out, but it averages around 50$ for two sandwiches! But it’s really good!however this time I was trying to call in my order and kept getting the line is busy so I drove down and when I got there the person behind the counter says oh someone put the phone on do not disturb then says hahahaha I’m sorry! I had to order and wait 50min. With that I’m not happy but is was good! Just don’t think the owner would like the fact the phone was made busy?

My husband and I were staying at the hotel beside this restaurant so we went there to eat and watch a ballgame . The food was delicious and it had a small bar with several TVs to watch several games . The servers were very accommodating and friendly. The ambiance of the place was relaxed and quaint . The bar only had about 10 seats in a circular position so it was a pleasant environment for conversation . It also had adequate tables to sit in as well . I would recommend trying this locals hangout while in Santa Cruz.

Someone brought these sandwiches to a meeting I attended, and what impressed me was the bread-soft and slight smell of fresh baked. Fresh ingredients and good variety of cold cuts and some veggie. Easy to eat because the bread is soft and yummy. It was take out, so I can't comment on the service/ atmosphere.

I stopped by trying to catch the 2nd half of Sunday's game. Not really crowded,for a Superbowl. Fine with me . They've got a uniquely "Santa Cruz" type menu. I had a sandwich called The Woodie, it was killer . Cream cheese, Bacon mmmmm, . Superyumarefic.???

I consider myself a sandwich connoisseur and I think the Beach Hut Deli serves some mighty delicious sandwiches! Cute ambiance. Friendly staff. I'm glad we tried somewhere new. If you're in Santa Cruz and you're craving a sandwich - I highly recommend you check it out!

Love the righteous Reuben and the tuna salad salad. The staff is very nice and the service is great. It's a great place to eat, with a fun surfing theme. They also have TVs and beer on tap which is nice too.
My son's favorite sandwiches for many years have been from our local Beach Hut Deli. Since he moved out of the country for college, he has missed it! When we recently stayed in Santa Cruz, he was thrilled that there was a Beach Hut Deli very close to our hotel. He ended up choosing it to get his last meal before flying back to school. This location is super cute. Like all of them, the decor is beach-themed. There is a "tiki bar, " TVs showing surfers in action, and a free shuffleboard to play! This game came in handy because we had to wait quite a while for our sandwiches to be made. There was just one server making our sandwiches so I appreciate that she took care to make them. My son ordered the same sandwich he always gets, the Surfin' Bird (turkey, avocado, bacon, and cream cheese) with everything. My husband and I shared an extra large California with everything, one of their yummy vegetarian creations that has lots of avocado. Our sandwiches were fresh, huge, and delicious! My son was very happy to have his favorite before heading to the airport.

Meatball sandwich was disappointing.Portions are small, making this sandwich expensive.The santa cruz sandwich turned out the same. Small portions. I guess restaurants have to ration their portions anymore.

Let me tell you, I'm a sandwich guy, and this place knows sandwiches. Great options, great recommendations. Quality meat and it shows. They also have great service and a beautiful ambiance. Everything goes together. They even have a shuffleboard which was nice. Great spot and i highly recommend.
