Our group of eight wanted somewhere quick and simple for a lunch fix en route to Santa Cruz Boardwalk. After half an hour of searching and poking around the two cars came to a consensus on Bistro One Twelve. The cafe/restaurant has a down to earth vibe that attracted us. With the simple setup and handpicked flowers in mason jars, the place was, well, cozy. Wish I could say the same about their food.... Arrived at posted opening time, and had to wait for staff to finish their opening procedure. Asked if croissant was fresh, and was informed that they just arrived. 10 minutes later and $6 less, I had a day-old croissant and small coffee. Decor is cute and clean, and staff were friendly.

The atmosphere is very nice in here. Menu prices are fair for what you get. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast buritto (which was excellent) and a margherita pizza. We enjoyed both but for me the pizza was a bit cold and needed to be warmer. The dough was made by hand and had an excellent flavor. We also ordered a cappuccino and an americano. Both drinks were excellent. We will be back to try more of the menu items. I like that they also have seasonal items to chose from.
