This is a very lovely place. Me and my friend Amadeo were walking by and observing the store when an old man suggested we that we try the place out. It is a small place and had seating inside and outside. The atmosphere was what made it so lovely. It smelled good and felt good. The food you were eating felt homemade in a sense. I must include as well that the prices were great. This is like the kind of place that you know just wants to make good food and spread good vibes and is not in it for the bank. I never review stores, but I felt that Cafe Delmarrete is under appreciated and many will casually walk by this place without giving it much of a thought. This place deserves as much attention as Pizza My heart right next to it gets! I highly recommend.
This is definitely my favorite coffee shop in Santa Cruz! You can tell that it’s very well loved by all who live here, and both the coffee and food are great!

I dropped by Cafe Delmarette for a quick bite. I had the Old Timer Sandwich (grilled cheese, avocado and sun dried tomatoes) and a cappuccino. Both were very delicious! The staff were friendly and cheerful. The inside accommodations are quite small; however, there is outdoor seating. I recommend Cafe Delmarette for a quick bite when you are on the go or a leisurely experience, enjoying the outdoors.

I had their breakfast sandwich and Burundi pour over black coffee and both were very tasty.
Great interior, feels very cozy. Sometimes doesn’t mix matcha fully but all other drinks I have tasted are fine. Staff are wonderful and always great with recommendations and answering questions. Price is not too unreasonable.

I ordered a chai latte for $6, expecting quality, but it was disappointingly watery and tasted terrible. Normally, I enjoy chai lattes and have tried many variations, ranging from excellent to just okay, but this was by far the worst. The barista seemed inexperienced and unprofessional, which added to the unpleasant experience. The girl who I talked to was extremely rude and had no customer service, told me that it’s my fault for buying a drink I didn’t like and if she were to remake it she would have to charge me. Paid 6 dollars for absolutely nothing as I had to throw my drink away with no compensation or politeness. The service is not welcoming overall. Very unprofessional and just plain rude.
