the coffee tasted terrible, it was really watered down, and seagulls were flying in and out constantly, but nice workers

Coffee tasted like hot water
(Plant-based reviewer) Made a pretty good oatmilk latte. Not a great place to sit and have coffee, but great for to-go and it's on the boardwalk ?

Breakfast was average. Very small bar/cafe. I would not go back.We had an omelet which was OK. Muffins were average. Nothing special here.
We've had breakfast at the Beach Street Cafe several times over the years and have never been disappointed. Excellent bacon. Love this place.
The Beach Street Cafe is a laid back breakfast/lunch spot with good food. The portions are too big for me or my daughter to finish, although my husband does pretty well! :) The crab omelet is the perfect Santa Cruz breakfast! Yum!
Nice little spot off the 1 a little bit but inexpensive and homemade food with nice service. Simple but very good options for gluten free/ DF etc. Surprisingly hard to find more of these in California.
From the outside the place looks a bit grubby but that's down to the original art and wooden fittings from the 50's Food standard breakfast food at a good value price

Came here for brunch after reading trip advisor reviews. Average at best. A sign on the door asking to pay in cash didn't help the vibe.
If you don’t want to go down town or out to the pier this place is small and quite. The food was good and prices were good.
Breakfast win. Gluten free options are great. Husband had the breakfast burrito which was "amazing". Mexican coffee - "amazing". Would def return
Serves coffee, tea, frappé, soft serve, muffins, scones, cinnamon rolls, fruit cups, parfaits, etc.
