This review is based off solely on my takeout opinion. We ordered from the lunch special: the sweet and sour chicken over rice ($10.15) and Mongolian beef with chicken chow mein ($12.25). The sweet and sour chicken is basic and okay taste, nothing made it stand out. The Mongolian beef was good but not much meat, more vegetables. The chicken chow mein noodles was a $3 extra charge and not worth it; would've been better with plain rice which would have costed the $9.25 instead. The noodles were pale and flavorless. Otherwise the workers were nice people and we didn't wait very long for the food especially since we ordered in person. Will have to come back and retry to see if the food is better for dine in.

I ate at Chinese Village today for the first time. I won't be back. The food was pretty terrible, or mediocre at best. The hot and sour soup served with all lunches was so sour that I found it inedible. I ordered a combination plate lunch, chicken chow mein, fried rice, and sweet & sour pork. Nothing tasted good. The fried rice was stale tasting, and seemed like it had rancid oil. The chow mein was bland and flavorless. The sweet and sour pork was in a sticky sweet sauce, no sour counterpart, and it also tasted stale and gristly. I ate almost nothing of this lunch. I did not take the proffered to-go box, never wanting to see this food again. I had hopes for delicious food. It wasn't!

Very poor service waited 15 minutes I went up to the front counter and asked about placing an order. Very few people inside staff was more concerned about the take out. Finally got our order and they forgot one item..... Definitely do recommend

I have been going to Chinese village for years.. I have to admit the prices have gone up, but definitely well worth the money. Family owned for years. Well done.Parking: Plenty of parking in the back same property as the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility perfect first floor.

Worst service in a long while. Very rude waitress took a long time to acknowledge and take my order....but apparently didn't put the order in, because she came back to clarify in 15 minutes and I watched her put it on the wheel after that! This might be excused after an apology, except the restaurant had few customers. wouldn't acknowledge my wave and signal, and when I finally stood up, she demanded what I needed, which was simply my check! No itemization on guest check - just the total. Filthy, disgusting restrooms. The mediocre food cannot make up for this restaurant. Stay away!

Believe the lower starred reviews. Extremely average food. Limited vegetarian options. In desperate need of a makeover - sketchy exterior that I questioned if they were even operational. Cream cheese wontons were yummy but it's hard to mess those up. Friendly server and food came out quickly on a Saturday at lunch time. Overall I've had much better Chinese food at comparable prices and I would not visit again.

So good still, even with new owners. It's so expensive though if you want everything. Maybe next time we will just get a couple containers of won ton soup.

I love the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of this place, it feels like home. The food is delicious, there’s lots of variety, and everything is well priced. The Lunch plates and Combination plates are some of the best deals for food in the city. Highly recommend the salt and pepper chicken wings too!
