Been going to Chubb’s for many years used to be good the best certainly in Santa Cruz. Oh how things have changed service was terrible. Took 15 minutes longer than I was told for a takeout order and the sandwich was all grease and batter. Very little chicken and I ordered it with coleslaw and it came without. Then to finish it off the mashed potatoes were half of what they used to serve. Sadly, this will be the last time I go there.

Mushroom sandwich requires a giant mouth to eat, which I have. If you don’t have a giant mouth you’ll have to deconstruct it.

Challenge anyone to go find a better chicky sando. You won’t. Flashbird - gone. Chubbs Rules them all. Always look forward to it. Serious withdrawal after a week with no Chubbs. Go, you’ll love it.

This place is magical for a gluten sensitive eater. They can’t guarantee for celiac but for someone like it was incredible. The chicken was amazing, the gluten free Mac and cheese was as well. An absolute must!

I wish I got to try it, but they prioritize Doordash orders to people who get off their rear end and come to this establishment to eat. Save yourself time and eat at KFC.

So, initially when I heard that they don’t allow cross-contamination regarding gluten, and are in fact Celiac-friendly, I have to admit it got me stoked! And for good reason because I ended up almost reviewing the place before actually trying them out, and that would be a big no-no. So last night I went during the brief time window 4 days out of the week they are open. The Nashville style gluten-free fried chicken sandwich is amazing and honestly, apart from the bread buns, I wouldn’t have known the fried chicken itself is absolutely gluten free! That, the fries, and homemade barbecue sauce were absolutely amazing and although the food is a bit pricy (kind of to be expected in this economy in a place like Santa Cruz, Ca lol) and the wait was 20 minutes, it doesn’t even matter because they absolutely nailed the dish and I had zero digestive issues and/or rashes forming, so I can certainly vouch for them! They also have very good customer service and definitely have a reputation for going above and beyond in trying to cater to their customers! They are amazing overall and I’m definitely going to be going back in the future!

Probably some of the best fried chicken in Santa Cruz, it's large, decently priced, and the habanero ghost mayo is great.

I got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and boy did it hit the spot. Throw on sriracha mayo to give it a little extra kick. Gabe is the man, he mans the door and holds the key to my chicken-sando dreams. Thank you Chubbs for consistently delivering great food.

Food takes incredibly long to come out and when it does, it’s usually cold. Even then, it was still worth coming to eat here anyways but the food quality has gone down drastically. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Food used to be so good and it’s a shame to see it be ruined.
