Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. They do not do take out orders but it’s worth the wait. Hash browns were crispy, bacon was perfect, I’ll go back the next time I’m in Santa Cruz

Absolutely the unfriendliest experience. The owner/cook Sue is incredibly short with her customers, rude and has a negative, nasty energy. Not surprised to read that MANY others feel the same way (just read the comments and her responses. Her *delightful* personality really shines through.) I will never recommend this place or come again.

Been going here for years. It's consistently quite good, fresh & simple. Our wait person was quite friendly & helpful. Chef makes great omelets & other delicious egg dishes, & was very accommodating.

My omelet was great and my daughter loved her pancakes. Great cozy little breakfast spot and an easy walk to Pleasure Point

The food is good, we got an omlet and some hot cakes. The coffee was yummy. The place is really small and has a limited menu. The price point is ok. It's nice to go somewhere local. You have to park on the street but there's a lot around to look at. And probably expect a wait since there's limited seating.
We had just bought a coffee across the street and decided to try out this place for breakfast. After walking in they said we couldn’t bring outside drinks. What do they expect you to do leave it out by the door? Made the whole interaction very awkward and unwelcoming.

On weekends this place is always busy. My go to is the BATCH omelette. This place absolutely nails the classic American breakfast, and the staff is incredibly warm and friendly. Whenever I bring my dog they always ask if they can feed her some bacon.

Lousy place. My boyfriend and I decided to go in and sit down since the waitress didn't pay attention to us, when we went in the "owner" who has a very BAD VIBE AND IS VERY MISERABLE, she made a face like she didn't want to serve us (?).We let it go, it took 15 minutes for them to take our order, since they served us pancakes tasted disgusting and besides they were burnt, the water tastes like soap!!!I super agree with the people who comment with 1 star.Horrible place!!They make you feel super uncomfortable with their faces and bad energy. If you are going to have a restaurant, they should learn how to serve and feel welcome to the customer at the same time I see that they also comment very rudely 1 star comments.Learn from those comments!!!!!I will never go back to that place again!!

Best local, home in the wall, breakfast place. I have been going here since the 80s. I almost left a one star review because I don't want everyone to know and then I will have to wait too long for a table. Worth the wait though.

In an area known for delicious tofu scrambles Cliff Cafe is easily the best. The bite-sized rectangles of firm tofu have a perfect golden crust. In the Veggie tofu the sautéed mushrooms are well cooked and the hash browns are perfect. The coffee is strong and the service is always fantastic. Definitely show up early because it's a small cafe and lines develop every day but especially on weekends. Enjoy!
