First couple times I went here the service was average. But the last time I went there, it was completely empty and I ordered just a simple double shot of espresso. Mind you it’s 5 dollars for that here. The guy who took my order was not busy at all, and he had time to have conversations with two different employees. As I sat there, I continually made eye contact with him, and he never once put effort into starting my simple order. Then a couple other people came in and he started their orders, one literally right in front of me as he looked at me too. It wasn’t until I stood up and asked him when my espresso was coming, and he acted like he forgot about it. Only then, did he start my order which took him less than one minute.
I’m sorry, but I don’t believe someone would forget a simple order when I was literally the only person in the coffee shop literally sitting right in front of him. Maybe he wanted a generous tip for such a simple and easy order on an already overpriced, and mediocre shot of espresso. Oh, and by the way, he only gave you one shot not the double shot I paid for.
I spent a total of 15 minutes sitting there. I don’t suggest you go here, go to Verve instead.

A bustling cafe with an eclectic ensemble of tables and chairs. The syrups are made in-house, but what really strikes me is that their selection of loose leaf is from Silk Road Teas, a well-respected brand that I haven't seen offered at other coffee shops around Santa Cruz.

Coffeetopia is one of my favorite coffee places in Santa Cruz area. I love their Mexican mocha. Iced or hot. They have good breakfast burritos and other food items. Friendly staff too.

Walk-in to get coffee with my grandson this morning and the woman behind the counter yells “ our espresso machine is broken so unless you already have a coffee you need to get out!” So I said this might be a silly question but can I just get a hot chocolate? She replies no like i said the machine is broken. So I asked if I can just get a regular coffee and she tells me I am scaring her and being aggressive and need to leave!!! Not sure if it’s under new management but the last two experiences have been rude customer service. Not sure I’ll go back.
I was not amazed. A kind of old school aesthetic, $4 for self-serve drip coffee. Meh.
Very good coffee the space is cozy and comfortable. Friendly service!

A favorite for years now. I may be biased as it's walking distance from home.
Vegetarian options: They have a great soyriso breakfast burrito. Also the obvious things like A begal with cream cheese or hummus. They also have soy milk, and other plant milk options for beverages made there.
Kid-friendliness: Always great friendly service.
Parking: It's there.

Another boutique coffee shop but I actually like this one except they don't give free or even discounted refills on their self-service drip coffees. Pretty stingy.Good vibes here and nice staff.I was originally trying to go to cloud and cat across the street, parking was impossible and it looked like a trailer home, happily I stumbled across this place, much better.
Coffee was lousy. Barista needed more training.Had more foam than coffee. The woman who took our order was rude. This occurred Friday the 24th of March morning 11:30.
