Evarista's Comal Restaurant

Had lunch here with my team today and loved it. The food at Evarista's Comal was AMAZING. We had the rockfish tacos and the birria, both were so good and the homemade tortillas were next level.

The service made it even better. The owner and his son greeted us and took care of our table, which made the whole experience feel really welcoming and personal.

Such a great spot for authentic, delicious food and genuinely kind people. We’ll definitely be back highly recommend!

In my opinion, this place deserves no less than 100 out of 10 stars.

Of course the food was great, but really what makes this place stand out is the atmosphere. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, you can feel the family presence and energy. I’m beyond shocked that this place wasn’t absolutely packed on a Sunday morning.

The coffee was PHENOMENAL — better than anywhere else I’ve had. You can tell that the hollandaise sauce was made fresh. The avocado was perfect. The portions were just right, enough to fill you up but not enough to make you feel wasteful or like you needed to take leftovers.

Breakfast food is always just breakfast food at the end of the day, but you cannot fake or replicate the genuine atmosphere that this family has created with their restaurant. This is going to be my new favorite weekend spot!!!!

Amazing food best quesabirria I’ve ever had Steak omelette was phenomenal. I usually don’t do reviews but this place is to die for 10 out of 10 definitely coming again.

We had such a wonderful meal at this delightful family run, and owned Mexican place. We tried two of their sauces and one salsa although to be honest it was more of a beautiful chunky hot sauce. Salsa Macha. Amazingly delicious quesabirria tacos. A profound spicy bloody Mary. And the nicest folks. This is a great place to come and have a delicious through the authentic somehow seemingly home-cooked Mexican meal. You won’t be disappointed.

We’re from Texas, and the only really good Mexican food we’ve had is in California. This was the best, yet. I ordered Chile Relleno and my husband the Carne Asada. Beautiful presentation and delicious.

Great place to grab some breakfast / lunch if you are down near the beach and looking for a solid option. 3 of us ordered off the breakfast menu at noon and were quite pleased. My chicken fajita omelette was delicious.

Service was awesome and they have great prices especially for adult beverages!

What a lovely little restaurant. Delicious food, friendly and caring service, and cute and colorful ambiance. We tried their lunch and enjoyed it so much we came back for breakfast the next day. I especially appreciated the owner’s thoughtfulness towards my kids — talking with them, making sure their pancakes were equal even though they had ordered different items, tucking napkins into our to go container of leftovers.
