This place is super good. I ordered the special of the quesabirria tacos. The flavor was incredible. The tortillas were handmade and the green tomatillo salsa is to die for. The tacos came with the consomé on the side which was really flavorful. Please go there.

Evaristas is a hidden gem in Capitola! It's a bit hard to see the sign out front so lots of people might pass by without realizing what they're missing. They're a fairly new place and seems like they're still getting the dining areas arranged...the front room looks a little bit like a storage area, the back indoor patio space has pretty cool ambiance. The front, outdoor seating is open and exposed to breezes and traffic noise...it would be nice to put some bamboo fencing around it to protect a bit from that. Now for the stuff that truly matters: THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! And the staff is very kind and friendly. Yesterday we discovered Evaristas and the Quesobirrias...and we're back again today because it's so amazingly yummy!! We also tried the huevos rancheros, pretty tasty. The crab Benedict was delicious, and the Chicken a la diabla sandwich is fabulously delicious!! Definitely want this place to succeed! Some of the tastiest food around!! Be aware, their current hours are 8am-4pm so get in early to get the goods! They don't have their liquor license yet, but the owner, Juan, said they might change the hours and stay open later once they have it.

Imagine my pure joy when I found a place that offers vegan, vegetarian AND regular food. My whole family was able to eat as this restaurant had options to accommodate our dietary needs. We showed up 2 hours before closing and we were greeted and seated by the owner himself. Because we missed the rush he kindly told us the history of his mother and the restaurant when we asked. He also cooked our food which was DELICIOUS! I wish I could have taken pictures of everything he prepared but my family gobbled it up before I had a chance! Evaristas Fettuccine Pasta was the star of the show. Our daughter talked about how amazing it tasted for days afterwards and even brought it up again on the plane ride home! If you’re in the area this is definitely a place to pop by and have a bite to eat. The front patio is a little small but the inside is roomy and the indoor/outdoor space in the back is lovely and beautifully decorated.

We decided to stop in for breakfast while on vacation. We stopped in right after opening on a Saturday. Staff was very nice and informative. Let us decide if we wanted to sit indoors or on the patio. We chose the patio and they started the fire pit for us. I got the machaca plate and my wife got the huevos rancheros. Both were delicious and ingredients were fresh. (It didn't take long at all for the food to come out btw). The server was kind and checked up on us. We were going to go back for their quesabirria tacos, available on the weekends, but we got sidetracked while we were out and about. It was really good for breakfast!!!

Food is delicious. Customer service is phenomenal. The owner welcomed us himself and also cooked our food. Loved the ambiance in the covered indoor/outdoor room towards the back. It's so cute! Kids loved it. Will go again when we are in the area.

This is a little hidden spot in Santa Cruz, but with a lot of taste. I order the Chicken a La Diabla Sandwich" and it was delicious. The service was great even though we came in a few minutes before closing. The staff is super friendly!

Came through from out of town and swung by this spot after I found the original place I was going to check out was closed for the day. Got the salmon benedict and was not disappointed. Good, balanced flavor. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the fish flavor didn't overpower everything else. Also added some tapatio which gave it the perfect little kick. Service was great. Mitchell (hope I remembered his name correctly lol) and the other guy there were very kind, hospitable, and made sure everything was to my liking. Plus, the music being played over the speaker was awesome for a funk/soul lover such as myself lol. A great little low-key breakfast spot for a casual morning!

I had the build your own omelette (loaded with vegetables) with hash browns and my wife had the crispy chicken salad. My entire meal was full of fresh, distinct flavors and my wife loved her meal, reporting that the chicken was fried crisp while retaining the moisture of the chicken. Friendly service but note there's a service charge for credit cards.

My wife and I ate there with another couple for the first time last night and the food was really tasty. We had the potato chip nachos as well as the shrimp empanadas as an app which were both amazing. I had the asada soup as my main course which also excellent. For dessert they their homemade lemon cheese cake that reminded me of the cheese cake my mom used to make when I was a kid...it was delicious! The only down side was they do not yet have their liquor license so it will be nice when those items are also added to the menu. We will be going back to try their breakfast selections.
