My nephew just had a 25 person party here. I wouldn't want to jave been our waiter. Half the kids are on their phones amd can't order a hamburger. Poor girl must jave asked 15 kids how they want their burger cooked. She ruled it. Food was good. I had the Wednesday night prime rib.
Veggies sucked and potato was
Bammer but it wasn't expensive. I'd go back. Erika was a champ so here to you kid. Get the burger ? it was huge

The best thing on the menu is the $4 bread plate thats typically complimentary at most restaurants. An inexperienced stay at home dad could cook better than the food they serve. Disappointing. I cannot fathom how this place has 4.2 stars

I had an updated review from May 2019. I do not know where it went.

I took my grandmother in for her birthday in May. She was turning 90? She was a testy old lady who I loved very much but was at times hostile, mean. Well, I had no idea what was coming.

We were seated by a gentleman who was to be our waiter. He was soooo patient. Halfway through the evening I had to pull him aside and let him know "I am sorry my grandma is being so abusive, I do not understand her motives, I am so sorry!" He replied that it was "OK" and I said "No, it is not ok!" and he assured me he was ok and could handle it.

I am glad I did this because she then proceeded to call him an idiot again and asked if he was always this stupid. She chewed him up and spit him out. I sunk my head into my hands. I had not prepared for this emotionally. He took the entire event with stride like he went to a seasoned grouchy old lady bootcamp.

As mortified as I was, I gave him well over 100 dollar tip and said I am really sorry for my grans attitude. She passed away in 2021. I later earned the hardships of her youth and how it shaped her world. I have a lot more compassion for older folks now after seeing this waiter roll with it so well.

I learned the QTIP method. Quit Taking It Personal. This waiter definitely showed the kind of patience and grace we should all be so lucky to have and show. He could have kicked us out and would have been well within his rights to do so. So, thank you HQB&G for being the last place I would take my grandmother out to eat and making it less dramatic. She might have been a mean old lady but she was also the sweetest lady in the world underneath. RIP Noni 05/05/2021

Not like it use to be. Was my favorite restaurant in the 80's. I went there last year and was disappointed. Never will go there again. Waste of $$$. Sorry it went downhill.

The eggplant parmesan tastes like it comes pre-breaded and frozen.
I'm sure the meat dishes are good, though.

Very comfortable local place mostly all regulars ready and willing to engage in conversation. Food is good to great some things are better than others. Steaks can't be beat. Pork ribs are my favorite. The bar and bartender are superb.

Wheelchair accessibility: First floor business with no barriers.

Went last Wednesday night and had exceptional service from Tray. Delicious Calamari Steak dinner was ordered by our host and he ate every delicious morsel. Loved the French Onion soup that was delicious. Had the blackened salmon and a Caesar salad, so perfect! Ordered a slice of key lime pie that was to die for. Going there again tonight it was that lovely of an experience.

Parking: We arrived at 6:30...3 open spots.

Kid-friendliness: Saw a younger family celebrating a birthday. Kids were happy to be there.

Wheelchair accessibility: We had no problems with parking or access.

The food was okay but too expensive for what it is. The beer selection was pretty lame. Service wasn’t great given that they were not busy. You could spend the same money and have a similar experience in nicer environs at Shadowbrook, which is also a pretty lame restaurant honestly, but its a better choice if you’re into style over substance.I had forgotten about leaving this review until their management was downright rude and dismissive to a good friend of mine. *fart noises* to this place.
