Java junction on Seabright is always on point. I had to run errands with my 5 year old and was in the area so I stopped in to get a coffee and sandwich. There was only one other person in the store that ordered in front of me. Everything at first seemed normal. I ordered my drink and food. The coffee came out quick and was good. I ordered a peanut butter and jelly and a Turkey cranberry sandwich. That’s when I realized what I was getting myself into. Just another Santa Cruz poor service location. 3 employees standing around talking about how wasted they got and using profanity in their conversation in front of my 5 year old ad she’s waiting for her peanut butter and jelly. I leaned more about their drunken night then I cared too. Mind you I was the only one in the stores 20 minutes later I had to stand up and stair at them to give them the hint I was waiting. One of the employees asked If I needed something or if I was waiting. I replied “oh ya I’m waiting for something”. They finally decided to stop talking to get out sandwiches made. When we got them the bread was very dry. Not sure if it was from sitting out so long as they attempted to work. I don’t get why these restaurants pay people to socialize and ignore customers. How do you even stay in business? Plus don’t bring your kids there unless you want them to ask you what the F word means, or Dad what’s Vodka.

This place has very poor customer service skills. Manager and owner not friendly at all. Tossed my $13 drink that I purchased 5 min before closing. They never informed me they are closing. I came 15 min later to pick it up. They informed me it’s in the garbage and refused to reimburse me. How can you treat your customer this way?I can’t imagine treating my customers this way.

Visiting Santa Cruz thought I’d stop by a local place to support small shops but place was horrible walked in guy was on his phone texting and stopped once we got to the counter once we ordered I got charged a extra 50 cents for a cup for some reason but my cousin did not and we got the same thing and ordered a pastry and got it warmed up and he placed it on some other counter without telling us a word made us wait 10 minutes there for nothing coffee was very bitter too was better off going to Starbucks to get a cold brew for cheaper

I love getting my white mocha here and sitting outside and relaxing in the morning. Super friendly staff. They allowed my dog inside and gave him a piece of turkey.

Great place to get a iced raspberry white mocha and ham and cheese croissant. Friendly staff and a nice outdoor patio.

I have a medical condition, and staff refused to let me use the restroom. It's the law. I didn't bring a doctor's note because I was out, but my tears should've been enough to offer some human decency to this Santa Cruz local. I realize that the situation is difficult because of the homeless population in the area, but there are still paying customers who deserve respect and basic human support. Needless to say, I did not order anything after all, even though I was very excited to try a coffee shop that I didn't know yet. Instead, I cried in my car in complete agony. Those of us with chronic conditions do not have time to go to another business in these situations, and I just barely made it to this coffee shop at all, in a lot of pain. Thank you for humiliating me.

0 outlets, almost 0 seating, 0 bathrooms. Deserves 0 stars.

Nice people. Nice outdoor seating. I think my smoothie was overpriced. No power outlets, inside or outside in order to work remotely. And no restroom available, even for paying customers!

Locally owned cafe with locally roasted coffee. Yummy menu with great coffee, tea, bagels, smoothies, sandwiches, and more. Superb service. Space to sit inside or outside to chat/chill/work. Loved the cup of stuff: black tea, cinnamon, honey, lavender and milk/soy. Also enjoyed the artichoke shmear (cream cheese) on a warm bagel. Appreciated that I got to sample the shmear before ordering it.
