Stopped by on a Sunday evening without a reservation. The place was packed, but the staff kindly asked us to wait about 10 minutes for a table. Once seated, we enjoyed excellent wine and a simple yet superb dinner. The gnocchi was the standout main course, and the panna cotta was truly unforgettable. Service was warm and attentive, and the manager, Seth, introduced himself at the end of the meal and sparked a delightful conversation.
The food is always excellent and interesting. The wine list is exceptional. The staff are wonderful, friendly and welcoming. This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz – no question.
I've shared what might seem like a random photo- but I took it because I wanted to remember the beer- Birra Friuli Amber, which was my new favorite- not too hoppy with a rich flavor and an amazing head. And the short ribs and chard were stupendous, as was the mushroom risotto.
