We sat outside in the garden, it was very lovely. We throughly enjoyed our meal. We started with the Bolani, Mantoo and the Beet Salad they all were amazing. Our main courses were Chicken Kabob and Arugula Pesto Pasta they were delicious. Dillon was a great server! We highly recommend this great restaurant.

The five stars of the service goes to the Manager Xander. He asked about our experiences when we're paying the bill. I told him the pasta was too salty to finish. Actually we didn't expect anything but only want him to know about it, though our server never asks. Glad that Xander followed up with the issue and we really appreciate it.

I had the lamb shank and it literally fell off the bone - tender and very tasty. Partner had the lamb pasta dish and loved it. The patio is a magic place and we actually got a parking spot in front.
We hadn't been to Laili for quite awhile. We picked up takeout a fair amount during the pandemic. Being vegetarian and gluten free, there aren't many restaurants that have more than a couple dishes that will fit, so mostly being a good cook I'd just as soon cook myself. It was my birthday and we had great food and service. Our server Maya even raided the lost and found to find me a pair of reading glasses as I forgot mine.
We celebrated our first anniversary with my husband! They have been very kind to offer us a free dessert to celebrate! The food is innovative with subtle notes. The ambiance in the patio is nice. Would eat at Laili again!
There is a beautiful outdoor space. Our group of 8 were seated promptly. Friendly, helpful and efficient servers. White table cloths set the stage for an upscale dining experience. Great food choices enticed guests to enjoy together or singularly. Good portions without being glutinous. Nice wine and beer selection. No hard alcohol available.
Parking: Paid parking garage across the street. Easy to use, safe and well lit.

Fine but a little overpriced.. Our half serve haloumi salad had just one slice of Halloumi in it which seemed stingy for $14. Chicken kebab was cooked really nicely but the eggplant was overly sweet and came with too little yoghurt to balance it out. Outside courtyard is a lovely setting but I was a little disappointed by the food

I stumbled upon this place during a visit to Santa Cruz and a walk through down
town. The food was fresh and flavorful. The Greek Salad was delicious and refreshing. The lamb kabobs were tender and the rice was just right. The three sauces served with the kabobs were all delicious.

Our server, Gencay, was amazing! Very attentive to us and he had great suggestions for the dishes we had! He even had great wine suggestions! 10/10 service he made our night.

The service was great but the food, entrees we've ordered in the past, weren't nearly as good. The lamb was tough. The eggplant was too sweet. They took the item off the bill which was good customer service but I left feeling unfulfilled.
This is an Afghani restaurant. I had the lamb shank and it was really good. They don't have a full bar: only beer and wine. I also had a carrot soup that it is not prepared daily. It was really delicious. As an appetizer the restaurant gives you a flat bread (Afghani?) with a succulent sauce. I had no dessert. I was already full. Great service.
Dining on Laili's enclosed patio is a delight visually with physical barriers that provide protection from external noise. The menu and the quality of the menu items are well established. Even when all seating is occupied, service staff do not rush you to finish up and move on and out. Making reservations online was smooth.
