The food was great, atmosphere is nice, nothing special. Servers were nice and polite. But the hostess at the door made me upset. We got there around 7pm and asked for a table for 2 person. Half of tables were available. She looked at us and said sorry at this moment we just accept people with reservation. We walked outside and checked open table and booked a table literally at 7:15pm. It was odd. We went back in 10 minutes and got the table. I couldn't find any logical reason for her manner. Anyways, the food worth it to try

We had the Mediterranean Sea Bass and Anar Chicken, both had amazing flavors! The leek dumplings were a tad flat by comparison, but we were expecting more than just the leek flavor. The baklava with pistachio ice cream were off the chart and the best part of the meal!!

Loved everything. If you’re looking for something different from the usual Santa Cruz dining scene, Laili is worth a visit.

came here on valentine’s day. made the reservation 2 months in advance and we were seated at the furthest possible table were we could smell the dishwash the entire time. not sure why they would place a table right there. we ordered appetizers but were so disappointed we ended up leaving and not ordering our entrees.
we got the cilantro caesar salad and the egg plant flatbread. it was definitely very okay. tasted homemade in a not good way. it was marketed as mediterranean food but it had an indian taste to it. i love indian food but i go to indian spots for indian food, not Mediterranean restaurants.
very confused how this restaurant was full

This place is absolutely delicious!! Hubby got the steak kabobs & I got the braised lamb pasta. Everything was superb & I look forward to coming back the next time we're in town. O, & the cardamom and pistachio ice cream was a fantastic dessert!

Our business lunch at Laili felt almost magical. Dining outdoors in the lush garden oasis was incredibly relaxing and made it easy to linger and enjoy the moment. Our waiter, Luca, was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to interact with—his explanations and recommendations made the experience even better. The food was spectacular: beautifully fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and full of delightful, balanced flavors. We left already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!
If you’re in the Santa Cruz area go to this restaurant. it’s a gem. The atmosphere is beautiful, every server was very friendly and attentive and the food is outstanding. I truly enjoyed every minute. Such a lovely spot can’t wait to go back. The wine was local and delicious

really enjoyed the beef kabob platter. pistachio ice cream is good. the salad was dry and could have used some oil, etc.

We celebrated our mother's birthday with style at Lailí. Our server, Luka, was fantastic and he ensured we were well taken care of. Everyone really enjoyed our meals, so much so that we actually ordered an extra meal just to take home. Well done, Lailí! Thank you.
This was our second time at Laili. The first visit was impeccable. The second visit was 2/3 impeccable. The appetizer and salad were wonderful. We ordered the filet mignon kebab for our main. We ordered it medium rare. It was served medium well it tasted good, but we asked our server to try again, which they did with no pushback. However, the second attempt wasn't much better.out of the four pieces threewere medium well and one was medium. My suggestion to the restaurant is if the kitchen can't prepare a kebab, medium rare, they should not offer it to be prepared that way.they should just say kebabs are difficult to cook any more rare than they're able to serve, which appears to be medium well. We will return to the restaurant as the food and its ingredients are high quality. But we won't be ordering the filet mignon kebab.
Food is great if you get the freshly prepared stuff for takeout. Generally has been the case, but last time the rice was a little stale and the chicken kebab was rubbery. When they are on top of their game the ingredients and the food are excellent. Wish they were also consistent.

Loved the apricot chicken flatbread, chicken kabob, and roasted cauliflower. The baklava and flourless torte were also very good. Wish the Mediterranean platter came with more pita.
