Loard's has terrific ice cream, and great customer service. The cookie dough is as good as any I've tried, and nothing beats a waffle cone full of that goodness enjoyed on the beach. Skip the boardwalk vendors and head to Loard's, you'll be glad you did. If it's too cold for ice cream, they have a nice selection of coffee beverages, and the ice cream scoopers are good baristas in their own right.

I would give one star but the nice kid in front tried to ask the servers if I could order. Here's the full: My buddy went inside while I waited outside with the dogs. He came out and I handed over the dogs. I turn around to go in but the guy at the door said wait let me see if I can let you in because we are closing. It's 5:49pm. I think they close at 6. Anyways, the people on the inside said no. I don't have ice cream.

Located right on the beach front of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. After my family settled in on the beach I wanted to grab a quick coffee, some water, and some snacks. I really wish I was in the mood for some ice cream but I wasn't. The workers were all very chill and friendly and they said it was probably easier and cheaper to get snacks here then a little convenient store down the way. If it wasn't as cold and if I had more time I would have definitely gotten some ice cream. I ended up getting an iced caramel macchiato which tastes like any other, chips- Doritos, lays, and Fritos, and a couple of water bottles. They take Apple Pay here and social distancing is practiced.
Very cute and easy place to grab some desert after lunch or dinner. Ice cream, floats and coffee. Everything in one place.

Not a fan of much on the Santa Cruz beach, most of it seemed tacky and childish to me. This ice cream placed matched that. Nothing special about it, just average across the board. If you're looking for basic ice cream and basic service come here, it's exactly what you'll get.

I found roaches in this ice cream place how disgusting under the table and in the restroom do not eat here! Instead enjoy a fresh hot dog across the street 5 stars and cheap!
