It's a small and decent restraunt, no bells and whistes. It has no fancy ambiance but is clean, the bathrooms are fairly clean as well. The person at the front was very kind and helpful. He was quick and efficient with the service and also gave us change for the gumball machine. We got the Chile Relleno, which was very good, flavorful and authentic. The beans lacked flavor but the rice and the chile itself were excellent. I got the veggie quesadilla, which was not great. It was a huge portion size but was filled with avocado and lettuce which isn't my cup of tea. The chips were very fresh and as was the salsa that came with it. The salsa however was pretty spicy which I didn't enjoy but my husband sure did.

Good authentic mexican food. Go there early, We went there late, and the carne asada tasted like it was sitting in the warmer for way too long. It was all dry, hard, and weird flavor. Definitely was not prepared/ cooked fresh.
Now that I've tried more taquerias, this is by far my favorite burrito in Santa Cruz!! The rice and salsa is so flavorful--that brings it over the top!

I love los pinos! One of my favorite taqueria's in town. I always get their super burrito either with al pastor or carne asada. Both are great. I got catering from them as well for a small party. They sell their meat by the pound (carne, pork, chicken, etc) and it made everything so easy for me. I'll be back again and again!
