Very unfriendly service.
Espresso was brewed too hot, was overextracted and just too bitter.
Furthermore, we ordered the Espresso to drink there at the restaurant - still got it in paper cups instead of real cups.
Anybody who values good Espresso should avoid Lulu. I was tricked by the nice Mahlkönig Espressogrinder. They obviously don't know how to utilize that beauty.

Not friendly at all.
My kids don’t drink coffee so I got them outside drinks while we’re trying drink and eat in and they wouldn’t allow my kids in due to outside drinks.
Was I supposed to let my kids stay outside in the cold while I stay inside?
Food and Drinks aren’t even good. Don’t waste time.

You should know who your money is going to ! I was studying here for a good hour, and there was a homeless man minding his business the entire time. Out of nowhere some guy who I assume is the owner comes out and says "Ugh I was wondering what that smell was, you need to leave." The man refuses because he wasn't doing anything wrong. The owner was talking to him like he was a dog-- "Get out of here". He called the police, but I left before they got there. As someone who has worked with homeless people I can understand the frustration but there is no need to treat them like subhumans !!!!

Just as the other reviewers mentioned, the drinks are good, but the manager is awful. When he is there, he targets customers and seems to always cause disruption. Bad customer service.

The indoor seating is back! LuLu's used to be an institution for decades: where you could hang out, sip decent coffee, flip open your lappy, chat with someone sitting next you. That all shut down when covid hit. Now, the indoor seating is back. So, warm tones with brick walls, couches, inner courtyard. Plus music playing in the background -- yes background -- as in not in your face.

Not once but twice has Lulu’s sent me an incorrect order from DoorDash. I literally selected “extra hot” for a latte but they sent me an iced latte. The previous time, they sent me a latte made with dairy milk instead of macadamia (I cannot have dairy). Please read your online orders more carefully. These are careless mistakes.

Incompetence, always one person behind the counter such that the line takes 30 minutes after that you wait for you food only to be told they don’t have what you ordered, why not check before you order? He did and then he dropped it. No apology just a blunt “I dropped the last cinnamon raisin bagel we have salt or whole wheat” do better
