We went to Marianne's for ice cream cones. I liked my mint chip cone. My husband liked his pistachio ice cream cone. They have a very long list of favorites to choose from. This is a legendary ice cream place in Santa Cruz. Service was very good.

One of my favorite ice cream places ever. Whenever we come to Santa Cruz, it's a given that we are stopping for a scoop of Marianne's ice cream. The lines are long, but the line always moves quickly. It's been my family's go to for seven years and it has been high quality food and service every time. I highly recommend it!

Stopped on in here after completing a ropes course on a warm Saturday afternoon. This place is a Santa Cruz staple, so of course my friends and I had to make the stop. They have a TON of flavors. Being Filipino myself I was very impressed to see Macapuno and Mango ice cream on the menu. You walk in, take a ticket number. And when your number is called you have the magical opportunity to try as many flavors as you like! (Of course, do so with courtesy to the others waiting in line) The ice cream shop has a very retro feel and with all of their selections you be sure to find at least one flavor you love. I am not a flower flavor lover, but even I thought the lavender ice cream was just divine. Enjoy!

I took my autistic younger brother to Marianne's to use the $5 gift certificate that my sister had bought for him. When he went to use it, he was told that the store is a "different business" under new ownership and they wouldn't honor it. Is saving $5 really worth the ill will? There's what the law will let you get away with and then there's doing what's right. (Invalidating all standing gift certificates is not treating your customers well.) Marianne's was indeed a different business when Sam owned it and you'd see him working the counter. This is the last straw. We won't be back. Too bad.

I've never actually thrown ice cream put before. We got four different flavors, two of which were edible enough to eat half a scoop of and two which were just awful. Besides the taste, how do you serve something called Rocky Road that doesn't have marshmallows?!?

We became acquainted with Marianne's through the location in Aptos, so we knew the ice cream would be delicious. The staff at this location are not nearly as friendly as the Aptos location. However, the dining area is clean and the store is a little busier since it's Downtown.

We loved this place. Unlimited samples and a ton of flavors to choose from. We came at least once a day during our trip. My groups favorite was the horchata but mine was probably the banana.

My coworkers from Santa Cruz rave about Marianne's ice cream. We came here after the She.Is.Beautiful run on a Saturday afternoon. I guess we got lucky because we didn't have to wait at all to order and we also got a table inside, which I hear is unusual especially on weekends. They have SO MANY FLAVORS! Probably the most number of flavors any ice cream shop I've ever been to. From mint chocolate chip (my fave, also comes sugar-free) to snicker doodle to mango to lavender (?!), I swear they have it all. Check out my pic of their menu to believe it. Delicious, creamy, and best of all- you can ask for to-go pints of your favorite flavors. Awesome!

after dinner in Monterey the wife was jonesing for a Marianne's rocky road. only problem rush hour traffic, but when ice cream beckons we will be there. with so many flavors it's a hard decision, luckily they have helpful scoopers that knows choosing from the 105 flavors is hard as well. its so difficult even the locals find it hard. now Marianne's a must have whenever we are in the area, and it's good to know they're open late (11pm/12am) for ice cream nutzoids like us

It's a MUST to go here every time you pass through or visit Santa Cruz (or to go weekly if you live here like me...)!!!! They have sooo many unique flavors to choose from, and the staff is so helpful with their recommendations and their patience when trying out samples!! My favorite flavors are strawberry cheesecake and the 10/20 The scoops they give are large portions too for the prices!! They offer ice cream by the pint as well if you wanted to take some home hehe The parking lot is pretty small, so street parking is an option for crowded times. When it's crowded, a ticketing system is used where they call out your number to be helped. -foodstagram: @itadakimasujen

cafe and koffee krunch were both delicious! i also enjoyed their chocolate. i loved the old-school feel to the store, it added to the experience. my group of friends and i came here after a long camping trip and the the 2 staff members were super nice about getting us sample after sample between the 5 of us. alone, i tried about 7 myself, so i appreciated their patience! its nice to be able to try their numerous flavors without feeling like a criminal for it!

This is my favorite sorbet store in Santa Cruz. The place is cash only and has minimum parking. The waiters are very nice. You can get free samples. I tried the lime sorbet and it was really good. The mango sorbet is no longer available. The prices are acceptable. I am coming back!

My husband loves ice cream so we stopped here after getting dinner on our recent trip to Santa Cruz. Small lot. So many flavors. Offers good quantity. Cash only. Some of the ice cream has an artificial color to it but pretty good. Would come again.

UGH. WHY DOES THIS PLACE HAVE TO MAKE ICE CREAM THAT IS SO GOOD AND YET SO FAR AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. I gotta tell you.. even when I love ice cream, I don't love it to the point where I finish more than a half scoop max.. Until this place. I had freaking two cups because I thought one cup would be enough and it wasn't so I went and got another one. I still wanted another one after that. This place makes ice cream that combines three of my favorite things: oatmeal raisin cookies, cookie dough, and vanilla ice cream. It's oatmeal raisin cookie dough ice cream. I die. Why does this have to be so far away?! I'm like waiting for it to stop popping into my mind all the time.

I LOVE MARIANNE'S! It is the cutest little ice cream parlor that takes you back in time. They have tons of flavors that are fresh made and are happy to let you try any of them. We love to go on the way to the beach and sometime on the way back (yes! twice in one day! you can't judge us!) My favorite mix is 10/20 and Heaven. Get Heaven on the bottom because you are going to want that to last forever! The pricing is reasonable and they give you huge scoops. And as if it can't get any better, they will serve your dogs free ice cream! My dogs love the nice cool down after running on the beach.
