No longer open!
This establishment is CLOSED PERMANENTLY. Sad it looked like a great place. As I understand it's another business that couldn't recover from COVID.
UPDATE YOUR GOOGLE STATUS. You guys accepted $ for an online gift certificate after you were permanently closed………
Not open. Closed for good! Took money for a gift certificate but they are closed. Had to get bank refund the money.
BREWERY IS CLOSED as of end of Feb. Sadly, this is not noted on their web site nor on Google, though their Facebook page does have a note from the founders on Feb 23. We came here today and had to go elsewhere for our St. Patrick’s Day beer.
I'm here on a Saturday at 5:30pm and they are closed. Looks like they are closed permanently? Too bad. Good brewery.
I'm giving this a 4 because I feel it has the potential to move up from it's secure spot as a three star...The beers I tasted were quite nicely done and the establishment has all the makings for success provided they improve on the customer satisfaction, attentiveness and food quality. Pretzel was average because everything served with it was improper temperature and subpar, at best. Still quality beers...
Lovely beer.
Quite good German style craft beer.
I LOVE living in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz County - why? There is ALWAYS something going on, and usually you can walk to it, or just hop on a bike and get there within a few minutes. Last summer, we enjoyed some yummy lobster quesadillas and grilled cheese courtesy of the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck at Nubo Brew on 41st. The beer flight was just perfect, usually we get their delicious pretzel board, but today we opted for something new. Best part? It was stroller friendly food and we could walk on down to Pleasure Point and soak in the views before walking home. Love where we live!

After a search for local breweries, being from New England, we liked the look and sound of this one and were not disappointed. We shared a tasting rack and got a couple more because we liked both IPAs and stouts (Cherry quite different from Nitro, toss up there). Favorite was Double Vision but since I have a lot hazy DIPAs like this back home, went back for a full pint of The Fuzz - with the Japanese peach flavor, really great sipper. Made even better as we sat at the bar, by our server, cute young lady but forgot her name . She had great suggestions , background and history on the brewery and when we asked about the art on the cans showed us some cool stuff on the artist. Oh, and get the soft pretzel to complement any of the brews- awesome!!
A small and quaint brewery, but a few too little of options or beers that we liked. We only had time for one brew stop on our passing through, and wish we’d have maybe chosen on on the other side of town instead. I do like how they have a quality gathering space for the community though.
