My partner and I are staying nearby for a couple weeks and we would have liked a nice, little dive-bar to walk to for karaoke nights but this guy's unnecessary, aggressive behavior leaves us with no choice but to never return. One of the kind, and kind to all. A great local's spot, with good traveling music from time to time. It's reasonable pricing for Capitola, and you won't have to deal with the worst things to exist on this side of town: tourists. Happy they're around and still doing the honest bar tending of days past.The only negative thing is they stopped smoking in doors some years back. But times change, I guess.

Went to see a band, The Juke Box BoyzPlace is itty bitty tiny, so I couldn't handle the noise, but it was hella clean and friendly. I will return when I'm in the area. I had the Ranch Water and loved it, and later just a juice. Minus the one star cos I walked thru the band to enter and felt dumb, and would have had to walk thru the band to go potty . Also hard to park but discovered the beach super close with a free parking lot until 10pm

Owners a jerk. Some old guy who stands out side. (Also what bar opens at 10am on a Sunday??) but the sign for the parking looks like it's just for customers for pleasure point fruit stand and the bar. Boy was I wrong. This old guy asks if we are going to the bar.. I'm like no. Then he's like "well then move your car or get towed". (Idk what it's about Santa Cruz people but they are whacked out.) anyways. The parking lot was empty and we would have used it for maybe 20 minutes. If I could tell this old geezer one thing it would be. "Hey you can have 100 parking spots. No one is coming to your crappy bar anyway."
TRASH!!! Bartenders are cool and do there job well. But the alcohol is not what they say it is..... bait and switch. If you order a specific type of alcohol to get that. You will not get that here! It will be the lowest grade.

We couldn't have asked for a better night out on our girls trip to Santa Cruz. We walked a few blocks from our place into this portal of fun with a live local band playing reggae and Dead covers. The bartender, Anthony, took great care of us and we danced and laughed all night. Drinks were delicious and the decor is campy Old West Saloon style with some history lessons mixed in. Thank you, Anthony!!
